Politifact is a liberal, left biased newspaper source. Don't believe them. Besides that, cycleguy is Canadian.

I rest my case.

Yes, I'm Canadian and therefore far more objective when it comes to political claims, separating facts from bull****, etc.

The prosecution rests.

"Pew [Research] discovered that conservatives are consuming a right-wing media full of lies and misinformation, whereas liberals are more interested in media that puts facts before ideology. It’s very much not a “both sides do it” situation. Conservatives are becoming more conservative because of propaganda, whereas liberals are becoming more liberal while staying very much checked into reality."

"The problem with this is watching Fox News actually makes you less informed than if you don't watch any news at all. In a 2012 study, Fox News viewers rated the absolute lowest in ability to correctly answer questions on a quiz about recent news events. People who didn’t take in any news programs at all did better on the quizzes."

Again, this is total garbage. As a rule, I've observed Canadians I've talked with about US politics, are very liberal - they have been fed a steady diet of US liberal propaganda. Ask a Canadian about "all the Americans that have guns" & you'll see what I'm talking about.

Just read all the posts here. First I'll say this: anyone who says Obama has done a good job, is totally delusional. Anyone who is a supporter of Hillary, is ignorant of the fact that she has done NOTHING positive for anyone (other than herself) EVER in politics. She has no track record of anything positive accomplished. She's as relevant at Brett Farve's wife claiming to be qualified to be an NFL QB because she is married to one.

There is NO common ground anymore between Republicans & Moderates / Democrats, so no matter what facts one side presents to the other, nobody learns or admits to right or wrong. Adults stick to their "guns" even if they are proven wrong, just to save face. And this polarity indicates to me just how screwed we are.

There's more to life than guns. BTW, Canada also has its media outlets - we don't need to rely upon "a steady diet of US liberal propaganda". Interestingly, the Canadian equivalent of Fox News was shuttered not that long ago - apparently they couldn't get enough traction for their right wing propaganda, notwithstanding the fact the Canadian federal government is Conservative in both name and philosophy. We're in the throes of our own federal election, so it will be interesting to see where that goes.

Regardless of whether Canadians are liberal or conservative, the World Happiness Report, published by the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network, recently ranked Canada #7 (and rising) while the US was ranked #17 (trending downward). Read more at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_Happiness_Report

Lifestyle9 ("Fashion & Lifestyle Magazine") also releases a list titled “Best countries to live in the world”. Guess what - the US ranks #20 on their list while Canada ranks #14. Different rankings than the US, but comparable positions relative to each other.

So, whether you like, dislike, agree or disagree with Canadian liberalism, it appears it works for us.

Have a great day, eh!

Just for facts and record, AlterNet is a progressive liberal left activist news agency. Nothing "open-minded" about it.

Perhaps you'd prefer to go to the source, Pew Research - or do you prefer to dismiss them as 'left activist' as well? Political Polarization & Media Habits | Pew Research Center

Sorry to let you in on this Brian but Pew has it's issues as well. Quoting their own statement about the media; "Most of them are fairly straightforward news organizations with no overt political agenda, like NPR, various network news, CNN, and the New York Times." NPR? CNN? Do you think for a second that the cited news agency's have "no overt political agenda"? Come on! The Pew study is flawed from the beginning with the assumption that Fox and Rush are providing false information while the other news agencies are all providing the truth. Then it provides the reader with lines about how paranoid conservatives are and how they find liberalism "around every corner". They're going to beat you to the punch, so to speak and give liberals the script to use during lunch time conversations about politics. I watch a number of other news channels besides Fox and a lot of what I see is "tow the liberal line" from every outlet there is. See how liberalism infects the very thought process of those with the disease. Don't be so naīve.

Oh my, I laughed and laughed....I mean that is seriously funny. While I'm no fan of Fox News I'm sure all those lefties watching MSNBC, HuffPo, etc, etc. are there for the 'straight facts' with no spin.

OTOH looking at the all the folks that like Trump and Carson makes me want to cry. These bozos are as bad as Sanders. Pure populist tripe and divisive drivel with not even an idea of what it would take to govern the country. Sounds nice to say you don't want a 'politician' but guess what, this is politics.

I was wondering how long this would run before people started taking their eye off the ball and going the man.

Here's a thought though, if Clinton wins then an entire generation will have only seen US presidents from one of two families.

Yea, I agree. Actually, where it's now heading doesn't sit well in my stomach. I'd rather stick to Cobra's on this site and save all my political rants for my friends on Facebook to unfriend me with.
You guys carry on!

Another non-fact, it would be one of three families, let's see if you can figure it out
