Koni Shocks for sale

Have all 4 and not sure what to sell for? Just took them off the cobra and Gordon says all work but off my 2005 built car. Just thought it was time to replace is all. Email me and I will send you picture of all 4 double adjustable. I know what set of 4 costs new. I have nice picture but can't seem to upload here?? Duh

Not sure I needed to put new ones on but I did.

I hope those were not the ones recalled due to failure on FFR kits back some time ago.

Karl Bebout 04-15-2016 08:53 AM

Pretty sure the recalled shocks were not Koni.

Fitz 04-15-2016 08:56 AM

Think they started with B? These are:
3012 5 FFR B23
These are the numbers on the shock.
Send me email and I will send picture of all 4.

DWRAT 04-15-2016 09:17 AM

I think Fitz's shocks are different then the recalled ones.

DWRAT- you are correct. These were put on car during build around 2005/6 I believe. They look good too. If I knew how to post a picture here I would show all 4

Gordon Levy 04-15-2016 12:18 PM

They were put on the car is 03 when we built it.
No they are NOT FFR Koni's. There were designed by Matthew, the engineer that worked for me 5 years before FFR started selling Koni. They are later renamed LR-1 or LR-2

Fitz,
Download your pictures to Photo and image hosting, free photo galleries, photo editing and then you can copy/paste the picture into your posts here.

Tried but says file exceeds size? If anyone interested just email me with your email address and I will send couple of pictures. They were put on build March 2005 build and car has about 30,000 miles on them. They look good and are very functional.

Maricopa 04-20-2016 08:21 PM

Bilstein was the bad FFR shock brand. I swapped out mine for older Pro Shocks in front.

Fitz how many miles on them? I figure mine have got @40K on em and it might be worth a swap-out if your are low enough.

About 30,000 miles per above post.

Maricopa 04-20-2016 08:46 PM

Ahh, thanks I missed that.

Fitz let me know if you come up with a price. Things are tight right now with home improvements and a pool re-do.

Karl Bebout 04-20-2016 09:04 PM

Pretty sure Koni's are usually rebuildable. Also pretty sure, it wouldn't be cheap, but a whole lot cheaper than buying new ones.

If the shocks aren't leaking, and move in and out, I can't imagine that they aren't as good as new, unless they are gas charged, and some pressure has leaked out. If that were the case, I'd think there would be some hydraulic fluid leakage.

DWRAT 04-20-2016 09:29 PM

A message from fitz to Maricopa: Accidentally sent to me I think?

Email your personal email address and I will send you picture of them. About 30,000 miles on them and they work fine. Just put them on Craig's List for $1100. Make me an offer and we can hook up.

Yeah gonna have to pass on a number like that. Good luck with CL!

Fitz 04-21-2016 11:51 AM

%/May not get any bites at that price so throw me back a number and maybe you can have them? I am not trying to be unrealistic.

Gordon Levy 04-21-2016 05:08 PM

Current list price on those is $750ea. They seem to work fine.

Danr55 04-21-2016 05:23 PM

$750/each when new. These have miles on them.

Maricopa 04-21-2016 05:24 PM

Gordon would the springs from my Pro Shocks (front) and B-Steins (rear) fit these?

Gordon Levy 04-21-2016 05:28 PM

No, they use an 8" long spring with a 2.5" ID. I checked the shocks over when we took them out and they are working fine. This do have both compression and rebound adjustments. The person that steps up for these if free to call me and I can explain the adjustments and what they do.
