Well Karlos, I will leave it to the popular vote Monday morning. I like the airport and the Early bird, but then that's just me.

hinoonaz 05-26-2016 07:10 PM

Never been to the airport in Payson, sounds good

Karl Bebout 05-26-2016 07:57 PM

The only thing I like better about Strawberry/Pine, of Clints Well, is the additional miles of driving in beautiful scenery. Darn hard to beat the breakfast at the Patron Airport.

Phx Mike 05-26-2016 09:34 PM

I have other commitments Monday a.m. so can't get up to Payson but I going to drive out to the Shell station a bit before 0800 Monday w/the car so I can see you guys off and see your cars. At least I can get some seat time and meet some of the club members.

DrDuc 05-26-2016 10:53 PM

I think I will join the motley crew. Sounds like a great day for a drive, as long as we aren't out long enough to get stuck in the folks driving home from a weekend out camping.

Karl Bebout 05-27-2016 08:11 AM

Phx Mike, better bring lots of Windex to clean the drool off your baby.

Danr55 05-27-2016 08:14 AM

Mike,. We look forward to meeting you.

I'm with Gary- 2 votes for Payson Airport...

We can always jump back in the cars and cruise up to Strawberry-Pine, and beyond, after breakfast...

I'm planning to drive however far we can get up the rim, until about 11:30-noonish, and then I'm turning-tail and heading home (for the exact reason Bruce mentioned above - staying ahead of the weekend toy-hauler crowd)

Finally got my wheels and tires on but unfortunately I start my new shift on Monday and cannot make the run. Bittersweet because I'm so glad to be getting off graves. 12 years of being a vampire was long enough. Made a run to Rock Springs Cafe for breakfast this morning and car drives so nice now. So smooth. Also found out I'm only getting about 10 mpg!! Ugh.

Have fun and drive safe. Was really wanting to see PHX Mike's shiny new girl.

petty43 05-27-2016 12:34 PM

Does that mean we will see you Tues. nite at Padre Murphy?

AZ Cobra Mike 05-27-2016 12:35 PM

Yes I will be there.

Scotchman 05-27-2016 01:53 PM

I like your stripe colors :MECOOL:

Danr55 05-27-2016 02:52 PM

10 mpg...lucky you.. I bet you'll get 15 or 16mpg at 85 to 95 mph.

Phx Mike 05-27-2016 08:39 PM

Mike I like those stripes - very nice. Tires and wheels look great too..

I'm just gonna let it oxidize....keep telling myself that....the polishing will drive you nuts....

Danr55 05-27-2016 10:22 PM

Cars run faster.when they have bugs and road rash. It's a fact!

mikiec 05-29-2016 07:04 PM

I do not know about faster, but they should have lots of patina.

aliedog 05-29-2016 07:50 PM

I will see you guys at the shell

Danr55 05-29-2016 08:09 PM

Good. At least we know who the boss is. Why did she tell you to go?

Mesa Mike 05-30-2016 08:15 AM

The stripes on AZ Cobra Mike's car reminds me of the "Copper Queen". Also, is it me or are there a lot of "Mikes" around here now?
