Sorry I could not join all of you for the run up to Payson today but it was great to meet all of you and to see all the cool Cobras! I drove into Chandler and showed the car to a couple of friends and helped one of them with some work at his house and then took the freeways back up to NE Phx. 99 miles altogether so a nice morning drive - but not as nice as you all had!

Great day for a drive. Had a leisurely 2 hour breakfast at the Payson Airport Restaurant. Whoda thunk they'd be so busy? oh wait.... After spending so much time there, we all chickened out on continuing North for more driving, and decided to head for home before the traffic got horrendous. Would have been fine except for so many campers and MoHos in the left lane, chugging up the hills at 40MPH. Oh well, that's to be expected, especially on the end of a holiday weekend. |
That.plus the closing of the Bush Hey off.ramp.from Beeline. That was a.pain.

Saw that Bush highway closed. Did not look like closed from other direction and people were come out and going north and south.
