Default Sunday, 10/30, Run for Lunch

Leave the Fountain Hills Shell station, Beeline and Shea, at 9:30. Head North, through Payson, on up to Clint's Well for lunch. See ya.

Ok Karlos I'm in. I'll be making a round trip back on 260 and I 17 though. Want to try and catch the last half of the Cards Panthers game you know.

Since this is Halloween weekend, are we supposed to wear costumes?

Your usual mask will be sufficient.

Ouch! Just for that, I'm wearing my Danr55 clown costume.

Anyone planning to meet the group at Bush Hwy & Beeline?

Since departure is so late, I'm going to drive on over to the Shell station. If you want to wait at the Beeline and Bush, be down at the bottom of the northbound on ramp and we'll look for you.

Only 3 cars managed to make it out for today's jaunt. KIeth, Danr & Adriana, and me, of course. The weather was excellent, with light clouds to be easy on the eyes. We made the mistake of eating lunch in Clint's Well. I'd eaten there before, and it was much better then. Only one waitress was running as fast as she could, but the service sucked, understandly. To add, although my burger was plenty big, it had zero flavor, not a bit juicy, and looked like some sort of mystery meat. Oh well, it was really about the journey, not the destination. After lunch Keith started ranting, I WANNA DRIVE, so he and I headed north to Winslow. The girl in the Flatbed Ford must have been on vacation, or made her escape from that pitiful town.

A nice 335 miles for me.

I believe that Adriana and I saw every trailer, motor home, camper, pickup, hunting vehicle in the northern part of Arizona on the way home. Other than that, the trip was pretty much flawless. Karl, next time rather than selecting someone to select an eating place, you just pick one. If you had said "..lets go eat tacos in Florence", I thin we would have been just as happy.

What I'd like to know is where were all the "I wanna Drive" guys? Only the 3 Cobra's showed up for this little jaunt. I must take exception to Karl's version of how we ended up driving to Winslow, since I'd never been to Winslow and Karl just had to drive some more I reluctantly agreed to go with him, just to keep him out of trouble you know LOL. Not many curves between Clint's Well and Winslow that is for sure. I will agree with Karl on the review of the eatery, not high on my list either. All in all it was a very nice drive and I enjoyed the drive and beautiful weather very much.

Only 3.. That means 3 had fun the rest were just sucking fingers.

Glad you had a good trip minus the food.

Any pics with the Standing on the Corner guy?
