I know it's a lot to ask of you guys to go on a run the day after a show, but one of SoCal's finest is in town , and we are having breakfast at the Payson Airport Sunday morning. Benny and I will meet you at the Fountain Hills gas station on Shea at 8 am for a run up the hill. No loafers allowed !! :MECOOL:

Why would it matter what kind of shoes you wear? I'll never learn all these nuances. My wife got me a British driving hat for Christmas... Is there some taboo about that? And what about deck shoes? They're a lot like loafers. Are they OK?

Sounds good to me, Scottie. I'll dig my long johns out because there is the off chance that it might be a bit nipply up on the hill.
I WANNA DRIVE!

Hey, Ron, I'm glad you are getting the hang of giving silly responses, to keep this site from getting too serious!:3DSMILE:
My problem is that I have to have about a half dozen "Sailor Jerry's" to get my courage up to speak my silly mind!:p
Haven't heard any complaints for acting like a clown, so, until I do, I'll continue!;)

It turns out Sunday the 12th, is the coldest day this week, so we are going to change the run to another location. Any suggestions ?

The day after the Concours show is too soon to go on a long run for me. I'll wait a while before any long trips, too much for old geezers. %/

I will, if I can... maybe. It will be a game time decision; an audible on the field.
If I can, then you'll see me that morning. If I can't, then I'll txt ya to let you know that I can't...

If it rains Saturday (now 60 pct chance) I will not be at the concours (no way to cover the car and I don't really feel like soaking the leather seats and wool carpet), so will likely join this run.

Winkleman is a long run. If you want to go that far, we can have breakfast at Oracle Junction then run back to the cutoff that runs across to I 10 at Pecaho..Park Link Road. Then come home up I 10. or we can run south to Florence, eat breakfast then back to I 10 through Coolidge and Sacaton..

Sunday now calls for 70% rain in Phoenix. The route Dan mentioned is fine, but let's see if the weather changes.

Important Info!! You may want to choose a different route for tomorrows run. The Renaissance Festival just started and traffic is a frickin' mess from Idaho Road to several miles past Gold Canyon. There are lots of nice police officers out patrolling and controlling traffic. Maybe a better bet would be that place out near Roosevelt lake, without returning through Globe/Miami. The roads are good and you don't climb high enough to get cold.
