Curse you, Mike the Badge...

You asked me if I was planning to make a new panel, but once I got everything apart, I decided instead to go the messiest, stickiest, and smelliest route possible, and just re-glass over my existing panel; and then I will re-drill it it for my the new gauge layout...

Robert if you like pain wouldn't it be easier to just smash your hand with a hammer or something? Holy cow. Good luck there. My guess is your tach is going to be reading 190F when you get done.

Well, we'll know by tomorrow. Rapid Robert doesn't dawdle.

You guys will get to see the new dash, in person, at Peter's Gainey Ranch show on Saturday...

(except for nniets, who will be home sawing logs... )

I'm heading out to the garage to do the final shaping on the panel, and get the new guage holes cut, right now... (no work to do today until 10am. yay)

Haha- I think the greatest pressure I'm under is not to make the dash look too "puffy"- I don't want Ralphie to yell at me again...

When you said "Big Mike's Fault", I was confused. There are so many Mikes, and most of them are "big". Then I saw Mike the Badge, and knew which one you were talking about. If you'd said "Puffin", I would have known right away.

Got those rattle cans "all shook up"?

Right, don't make it too puffy. We all know how Ralphie gets about things that are too puffy.

Pfft- Rattle-can fumes have got NOTHING on the power of polyester fiberglass resin...

I'll be checking into Passages Malibu for detox after this project is over...

Wow... I knew from the beginning that this project was going to suck, but I didn't think it was going to suck this bad...

but, it's finally going back together. I should be able to finish up, test drive, and wash the bugs off the car this afternoon, and make it to Gainey Ranch tomorrow morning...

Here's my new guage layout...just need to finish installing switches, indicator lights, steering columns, etc...

Big Mike.... "The Badge"

and smaller Mike would have to be Captain Windex (I mean c'mon- That dude can't weigh more than 160, soaking wet... )

maybe the new Mike can be medium sized Mike?

For some reason, I'm having a real struggle referring to MikieC as "medium sized Mike"

Ok, maybe MikieC is "Big Mike" and The Badge is "Bigger Mike"

I think I'm putting too much thought into this... I need to go back to work on my dash.

Or, should we play the same game for the Dan's, now.... ?????

I've still got some wrinkles and creases in the vinyl that I'm not too happy about...

I peeled that vinyl and re-wrapped it 3 frickin times

But hey- This is what happens when a mechanic/fabricator tries to do upholstery...

Just for ease of enunciation, may I suggest that the medium sized Mike (when one is identified) should be referred to as "Medium Mike". Much easier to say...

WAIT!

I forgot all about MesaMike- AKA Triumph Mike.

Now, he would be a good "medium" Mike....

Ok this game is dumb (curse you, Danr... ); but fortunately, I think we're all out of Mikes now.

My God- Could you imagine if all these Mikes drove Mustangs...? We'd run out of dead cats to swing

The new Mike with the SPF will just have to be "FNG Mike", or maybe he can be "Meatball Mike" if he shows up tomorrow with those numbers plastered to the side of his car...
