1994 Integrity Coach Works Cobra on BAT
There is a 1994 cobra on BAT built by Integrity Coach Works in 1994, no reserve. Were they a good builder ? This could be a good buy.

I have never heard of them...........

Scotty, here is an old CC thread on the same question: http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/all-...ach-works.html
AND a thread on the now Hunter Cobra: http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/deep...ter-cobra.html AND this thread even has comments from a guy who has had both Hunter & FFR: https://www.ffcars.com/forums/43-off...ter-cobra.html I reviewed the BAT ad and you are right, it may be a good investment to flip, plus, the colors are right. LOL The boss 302 motor is worth $6K. AZ Bob |

Looks like Cleveland valve covers. Did the boss 302 have offset valve
|
Years ago one of John's (from Anthem) employees was building a hunter. It looked OK.

If you look at the close up of the carburetor, you can see something grey just below the valve cover - I think that's a spacer/adapter to make the Boss valve covers fit a Windsor head. Also, if you look at the header side of the the valve cover, it seems to hang out over the headers and header flange quite a bit. Another thing: Boss intake ports are larger and more rounded than the Windsor; those just look like regular 289/302 intake port shapes to me. I think someone wanted the panache of a Boss 302 without spending the big bucks. I haven't fooled with the Boss parts in nearly 40 years, so I'm a little rusty on ID. |
I think Stan has a point. If you look at this picture of the BOSS 302
http://www.bosskraft.com/uploads/9/3...41172_orig.jpg The intake manifold looks deeper and wider than in the ad. https://cdn.bringatrailer.com/wp-con...16-620x414.jpg It may be just an optical conclusion, but sure looks different to me.. |
I was told the Cleveland blocks were completely different and the parts didn't interchange. Do the Cleveland heads fit on a 302 or 351W?

The blocks are definitely different (main bearings, deck height, oiling configuration, etc...) but that didn't prevent the head bolt pattern from being the same. I suspect that Ford was using a 302 to prototype the Cleveland head design and someone said "Wow! This would be a beast in Trans AM!" The tunnel port 302 was sort of a dud with a narrow rpm band. Again, its been 40 years, I'm probably off base on something, but not much. |
Does anyone know if this car is available anywhere? I built this car. I was the lead mechanic for Integrity coach works in Stuart Florida. I'm looking for cars I built to purchase.
Best regards, JWG |
