Karl Bebout 01-28-2019 12:32 PM

2bars, youse not staying Saturday night?

MKS427 01-28-2019 01:23 PM

Jim is going to bunk with Bob. Jim already has a room that he is going to release. My understanding from here is that they are out of rooms. Before Jim cancels the room, is there anyone that wants it?
Call me if you need Jim's contact.

Karl Bebout 01-28-2019 06:43 PM

Jim and Bob.....

Bob will hit the sack about 7:30 and Jim will go rolling in, maybe 10 or 11, in a FINE frame of mind. Figure to hear any grumbling the next day? Naaaa

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 01-28-2019 07:09 PM

And if there's only one electrical outlet?

Danr55 01-29-2019 05:41 AM

"And if there is only one electrical outlet?"
Then one of them doesn't get to use his hair dryer!

Karl Bebout 01-29-2019 09:13 AM

What's a hair dryer?

I was thinking about both of them and their C-CRAP machines.

mikiec 01-29-2019 01:54 PM

To much money for me. I will stay at motel 6 and meet everyone at the redroof inn for the festivities.

2bars 02-03-2019 12:36 PM

Yes we are staying Saturday night. I meant I made my reservation on Friday

Karl Bebout 02-03-2019 08:45 PM

o I c

RedSnake351 02-08-2019 07:55 PM

Just got my 2-day reservation at the Days Inn just down the road from the Red Roof, where most of you are staying. After I get done partying with ya'll, I will crawl a couple of blocks to my joint.:3DSMILE:

My room has 2 queen beds, so in case there is another procrastinator, the other bed will be for rent! :o

Ralphie, better late than never :MECOOL:

MKS427 02-09-2019 06:59 AM

Jim is going to bunk with Bob to save some $$$ and may still be holding a room if you are interested.

petty43 02-09-2019 12:23 PM

We will be staying at Motel 6, same as Mikee!

Danr55 04-15-2019 07:33 PM

We're getting close. Is somebody going to post departure time all that kind of information?

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 04-15-2019 11:48 PM

Fun Run 2019

Dan, here is a re-post of last year's plan with current conditions: Here is a normal weekend schedule: We depart Phoenix on Friday from the Chevron station on Carefree Highway just east of the I-17 at about 10am and head north on the Black Canyon Freeway to exit 262 which is Route 69 toward Prescott. We travel about 21 miles to the Fain Road bypass around Prescott Valley to Route 89 (not 89A) north toward Chino Valley. We stop to pit and fuel at Safeway in Chino Valley, then on north to I-40 and west to exit 123 to Seligman where we pickup our prepaid goody bag and lunch at the infamous Snow Cap. We walk & shop for a while then head west to our Kingman Motel, the Red Roof Inn, which is about 75 miles. You can take Route 66 all the way or jump back on the I-40 and off at exit 53 and turn northeast (left.) We settle in and as a group, go to dinner at a steakhouse. Back to motel and gather with chairs outside for fun, scotch and cigars for some and generally bench race and listed to Scotty stories.
On Saturday morning, many travel back to Seligman to join the morning festivities and the other 800 cars to travel Route 66 back to Kingman. There are several stops you can make along the way such as, Grand Canyon Caverns, Peach Springs and Hackberry. Once back in Kingman there is a large car show on Andy Devine Blvd in downtown Kingman. We generally park in front or near Mr D’s Restaurant toward the west end of the show and near the Powerhouse. Lunch is up to you. After the show it’s back to the motel to rest up for Pizza Hut as a group then back outside to hear stories from Dan Shinn.
Sunday morning you can join the car group and head to the end at Topock through Oatman (which is a fun place to walk around.) Or, you can head back with some on what had been coined the “Salmon run” where we drive back to Seligman on Route 66 for breakfast then retrace out steps all the way home. You can also jump on I-40 to 93 and head home through Wikieup and Wickenburg.

BobB, This itinerary works fine. Since we do it only once a year, why not?
Danr, you going? Haven't seen you on any recent cruises so figgggure there's one of maybe three reasons: you wrecked the car-again, you broke the engine-again, you've been back in the psyche ward-again....Are you/have you made dinner reservations for Friday night at the same steak house? Its Scotty's favorite since he can scam them into giving him two steaks for the price of one:D

BobB, which car are you taking this year?
