paint cost

I am considering a repaint on my Cobra. Will do some mods like rolled edges and maybe even bulge the rear body and fit a little tighter. Door jams etc. I am thinking the cost of paint, primer , tape and paper to be in the 2K to 3K range. Guardsman blue and white stripe with clear coat. Am I being realistic?
