Default Trip to Maricopa

Went to Maricopa yesterday with my ROMEO Club. Visited our old buddy Gordon Levy at LRClassics (Levy Racing.) Boy, has he got a lot of projects going on. Factory Five Builder, High-Performance Ford Automotive Parts – LR Classics

Even saw Fitz's Cobra there getting an engine "refresh." Lots of cool projects. Great to see Gordon and he spent a lot of time with us explaining so many special parts. Warm & friendly. Said hi to Gordon from Scott Siggins. His paint job still looks good. Gordon just painted another FFR looks like the same silver color.
We also visited the Dwarf Car Museum: https://www.dwarfcarmuseum.com/ Friendly, interesting place. Full of things to see and wonder. Ernie is one of Ralphie's old drinking buddies. Called Ralphie Schneider in IL to say hi from there.

Then had lunch at the Raceway Bar & Grill. Also an interesting place with good food. Raceway Bar and Grill
Fun day except for Phoenix traffic.

BobB, is that Ralphie's big Ford behind you in the photo?

What a surprise that Fitz's car is there. Suppose he puts so many miles on it that it needs very frequent attention?

Karl, yes, that's Ralphie's 1960's Galaxie XL500. Needs lots of work. Fitz's car still sounds mean.

Boy, you're right there!
I'm not the youngest, but close. Also I'm the only one who can use a smart phone and is on FB. They make me feel younger.

I think this is the young blood!

-----------

This reminds me of a sequence from the movie The Princess Bride:

Miracle Max (Billy Crystal) to the ominous giant:

Go away or I'll call the Brute Squad.

Fezzik (Andre the Giant):

I'm ‘on’ the Brute Squad.

Miracle Max:

You ‘are’ the Brute Squad!

Ok, I’ll stop now! (Looks like a fun gathering) Brent

I'm thinking Ralphie said Gordon's had the big Ford over a year. Wonder if Ralphie will live long enough for it to get done? Think he told Gordon there was no rush. OOPS.

Boy, I have to get on this site more often, took a couple of months to check out my place in Illinois. I see the last time I visited this site was 06-25-2020, no excuse for that.
Karl, yes that is my '66 Ford Galaxie 500XL Convertable, and ,yes, over a year is correct, but ADD another year and a half to that time.
Hope to catch up with ya'll soon, was hoping to make the Ajo show but couldn't get the snake to run properly.

Ralphie

Ralphie...take your Cobra out to Gordon. Give him a chunk of cash, tell him there's no rush.

So Ralphy, How would you like to run to Payson for breakfast at the Crosswinds this weekend? Anyone else interested in breakfast in Payson on Saturday?
