Default Luv august in az

4:45am 91 Balmy degrees, so, good time for a jaunt. 275 miles later, I returned to the garage and 104°. Glad I made it home before it got hot.
East BumScrew to Payson to Strawberry to Camp Verde to Cottonwood to home

Good Job Karl. You are either awesome or off balance. Haven't quite figured out yet.

Your early morning run (best time of the day) sounded great. Just some of that in Vermont would be outstanding.

Would be good to have a little cooling trend here - at least back down below 110F...

This Saturday's forecast is for only 105° so I'm thinking another jaunt is in order. I'm sure I'll blast off about 4:30ish, before the sun comes up, get my smiley face on, and hit the road. There are a couple more fires along some of my usual routes so perhaps I'll find something else. Could just take off, drive 2 hours, turn around and head for home. With me, it's all about the drive and not the destination.

I'd say more one than the other and he's not particularly awesome.

This vertigo thingy is a beech.
286 miles this morning: Home to Globe, to Safford, to Globe, to home. Left at 4:30 and 90°. Home again at 10:10, 101° but 40% humidity. Took it very leisurely and got 20MPG. WooHoo, its a commuter now.

Sounds like a nice ride. Was there a lot of smoke along the route? I took the new buggy out for a spin today now that I have the film on it (I would have gone with you but could not pick up my car until 0800 this am).....I went up the 87 and back and it was pretty hazy...

I got a pretty strong smokey smell down around the wide spot in the road named Pima but it was just for a very short while. I didn't see any smoke or fires but then that's why I took that route.

And, how do you like your new Hun-Mobile?
