Karl Bebout 02-13-2021 05:37 PM

I'm planning on leaving Thursday from the Quick Trip at 75th Ave and Deer Valley. That'll be four or five weeks after my 2nd vaccination and I'll be good to go.

Danr55 02-13-2021 05:47 PM

Adriana and I will leave on Friday at 11:00 from the Chevron on I 17 and Carefree Hwy. As usual. We will do the same and Shelby Museum on Saturday.and stop in Laughlin. Likely.return to Kingman Saturday night and do the Salmon run up 66 backward to Seligman, brunch at Lilo's then home.

Karl Bebout 02-13-2021 05:53 PM

Danr, wasn't the Lake Havasu thingy originally your idea?

Danr55 02-14-2021 02:57 AM

Yes it was contingent on the Fun Run. Four hours in the car that many days in a row is too much for Adriana.

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 02-14-2021 07:20 AM

Mark & Jim, I admire your desire to drive, to lead, and to expand the trip to 4 days but, I’m getting just plain old and I think I will join Dan leaving Friday from our old base and travel our old traditional route, with our old traditional stops. I like the idea to spend Saturday traveling to the Shelby Museum in LV instead of my normal sitting downtown Kingman and/or Oatman trip. I am liking Dan’s plan and staying at the Red Roof Inn both Friday and Saturday nights. A 3 day weekend is difficult for many and we want more people to join us. I’ll be asking Jim to count me out for Thursday night in Lake Havasu but keep sharing the room in Kingman on Friday and Saturday nights.

BobB, I'm sorta doubting that your roomie will be making it:eek:

Danr55 02-14-2021 03:57 PM

I heard a rumour that he may have broken his car. Any truth there?

MKS427 02-15-2021 05:58 PM

A little bit.

Danr55 02-16-2021 03:45 AM

While eating donuts?

MKS427 02-16-2021 04:59 AM

Not what he told me, but I'll let him tell the specifics.

Car Nut 02-16-2021 06:31 AM

MKS427 02-21-2021 05:59 PM

Canceled

Dan originally started the Havasu add on, but dropped out. Now, Thursday in Havasu has fallen like a house of cards.
I will be going to Red Roof Inn Friday and Saturday with the group. Vegas/Shelby Heritage Center on Saturday.
If you have a room booked in Lake Havasu, remember to cancel as they will charge for one full night for anything under 72 hours notice.

Cobrakeith 02-22-2021 07:11 AM

I am planning to leave Friday for Seligman with Kingman dinner and overnight. Sat I'm planning to take the trip to LV for the Shelby Center then back to Kingman. Sun Salmon run or ? for the trip home.

2bars 03-04-2021 12:20 PM

Louise and I plan to stay in Kingman Friday Saturday night.

Car Nut 03-08-2021 07:34 AM

Several of us are planning an alternate departure for the unofficial Route 66 Fun Run. Leaving the Fry’s Gas station located at the northeast corner of Lake Pleasant Parkway and Happy Valley Road at 0930 and traveling through Yarnell to Chino Valley, stopping at the customary gas stop at Safeway. This is still for Friday.

I'm planning on this route this year. See you at the gas station.

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 03-08-2021 05:43 PM

Sounds like a good idea to me too. Just have to get Jim Cook to drive here in the morning and park his car at my house for the weekend (or get dropped off.)
