467 miles of smiles today, for me. A bit brisk in Kingman with it's chilly wind but the sun was nice. We looked at about 6 places and will probably just stick with the Red Roof. The manager is due back Wednesday and is to call me with a price. They are not doing breakfasts now, but considering what their breakfasts had been, there's not a lot of difference.  All the other places had things we didn't like: too close to the freeway, too close to the trains, poor parking lots, overall crappy condition. Oh well, it was a good excuse for a drive. We saw a few Troopers on I40 and Rt 93 but they were generally busy with other customers so we were not sources of revenue today. |
