Route 66 whena and where are we leaving from?
When and where do we leave……? Well I took the nitrous tank out to make room for the duffel bags and toolbox.
*Changed the oil and checked the car over. I noticed a familiar sound of an exhaust leak and had to tighten one of the bolts, sounds mean again. AND YES THE FUNNEL WAS TAKEN OUT! Everything should be good to go.
Took it for a spin....and wouldn't you know it, one of the screws that holds the center cap on my Centerline rims came out. Flopping all over with the other screw still in. If I can’t find a screw to replace the missing one I will have to drive without one of the center caps on……it is only for looks but darnit does something always have to go wrong no matter how small it may be!!!
Mike,
What is the cost of the rooms again? I am trying to calculate the total cost for this trip. Besides the car show awards, is there anything else that I would miss out on if I do not pay? Rather than throw $50.00 away I would just rather drive up and park next to you guys. I can buy a t-shirt if I really feel the need.

Jason,
Are you going to be at the 5 & Diner tonight?
We will be discussing our plans and route. Tight now the plan is to meet at the 5 & Diner about 1pm on Friday.
Ginny has all the info on the rooms.
As for the cost... I believe you will not be allowed to participate in the show n shine in Kingman. Yes, you can get tshirts etc in Seligman.

Rt 66
Mike,
If rooms become a problem, we have 2 available. We are 25 mi from Ask Fork on a great Cobra road. I also have a car trailer should something break.

89A was moved
Mike,
The last few miles of 89a was built a few miles north, nearer to the airport. It is quite open to all points north.
Any visitors to our place are always welcome.

Jason,
The cruiz starts at Seligman. We go through Kingman, oatman, and on to Toprock.
A good place to stop and walk around is HackBerry...
Burma shave signs. I know your way to young to remember.

Hi all...
I'm not part of your region, but I am a big Rt. 66 fan.
I wish I could go on the cruise, it sounds great. I was through Hackberry last summer and stayed at the general store for about an hour.
I distinctly remember opening the car up on the way there, to about 135 mph, and then thinking if I were to have an "incident" it would likely be hours before anyone even found me, much less helicoptered me to a hospital. I slowed down.
I hope that Juan Delagillo is still at the snocap!

Mikie,
That's got to be a fun trip. Maybe one of these days we'll be able to join you all.
If you ever aim it east on 40 to say Holbrook, you could catch the Painted Desert and Petrified Forest nearby to that area. Then drop down south on 77 through Cheetah territory and then south on 60 through the Salt Canyon to Globe. Would be a good weekend loop.
Or maybe just get a bunch of cars up here the last weekend in Sept for the Run to the Pines show weekend. It's kind of like a big weekend at the Pav, except on grass and cool, fresh mountain air.

Route to Fun Run
Mike, let Stuart know our route to Seligman. Going up I-17 to 69 to Prescott. Stuart can pick us up at Carfree Hwy about 1:45 or 2PM Friday. Or at the 69 cut off later.

Bob,
I called Stuart yesterday and left a voice mail for him.
I'll call him again tonight to make sure he got the message.
Ginny is off to California as I write this. She should be home about 9 tonight with her Rodster. She may drive that on the cruiz...
