John thanks for keeping us informed....
Mikie I am very sorry for your loss.... I will miss her alot..... Janet thank you for being apart of Ginny's and my life. Mike |
I chose not to post anything in hopes of a better out come.
I have been in touch with Mikie from the first day I was informed about Janet's stroke. I was notified by Mikie's sister Paula while enroute to Las Vegas on Monday morning. All I can do is remember the last time I saw Janet. She gave me a big hug and told me that she was having a good time at the Fling. I told her to say hi to her Mom as she was leaving by plane to Michigan for a visit. Janet was one of the most caring individuals I have ever met. Mikie and I travelled to the fling together last year in our cobras. Before we left she said a prayer for us and blessed our cars for a safe journey. That's the way she was. She always put others first. All those who met Janet liked her immediatly. She will be missed. While talking to Mikie he said something that I feel should be repeated. He told me to hug my wife and kids and tell them I love them. It's a trajady like this that makes one stop and think about how precious life is and how important our loved ones are to us. Hersh:( |
SINCEREST CONDOLENCES. May she rest in peace.

A highlight of the short time that I spent in the U.S. was spending some time in a circle of chairs at the Strawberry festival, talking with the Arizona Cobra people. There was a more-than-adequately stocked esky full of beer, a wonderful outlook of Cobras, trees and the beautiful historic courthouse, and lots of friendly conversation. Among others, Hersh, Mike C, Ginny, Mike F and Janet made the main group. I really enjoyed talking amongst the group, as everyone was so friendly, open and genuine.
Mike - for what it's worth (and I'm having trouble seeing the keys on the keyboard through the tears), I am so sorry for your loss. Scott and I were with Hersh when Paula rang, and we had a talk then about having things in perspective. The cars are fun, but family will always be number one. My thoughts are with you. Sincerely, Craig |
Mike - met and spoke with your wife at DVSFII. Cannot believe this now. So sorry for your loss. Life is not fair.
If you can make it, would be glad to buy you a beer at DVSFIII. |
Two weeks ago today Mike took this picture......funny his Mom always tells him he never takes pictures of people ...this is the only one he did take, and I'm so glad he did.
Janet, I'll think of you often and always remember a hot Ohio evening, sitting in the grass watching fireflies. Ginny & Mike :'( http://a4.cpimg.com/image/3E/AF/1108...-015E0200-.jpg |

Mike, you have my deepest condolences. I'm sorry I did not have the honor of meeting you and Janet at the Fling.
Loved ones will never be forgotten, but the pain will become a little less sharp with time. I lost my wife of 35 years to cancer on May 10 of this year, so I know what you are going through. Cherish the wonderful memories forever, stay busy, and try to look forward. Doting on the past will drive you crazy. It's hard, but it will get better with time. Once again, I'm very sorry for your loss, and you have my most sincere sympathies. I'm here if you need a sympathetic ear that just went through the same ordeal. David Ward |
Mike,
I never met you or your wife, but we are all part of the Club Cobra family, and feel your loss. You have my sincere condolences on your loss. I pray that the day arrives soon when your thoughts of Janet will bring a smile to your face rather than the tears it brings today. We'll remember her and you in our prayers. Bruce |
Janet Foss
Mike, my thoughts and prayers are with you. Thank you for letting us know Janet and you.
God Bless, peace Bob Broberg |
Mike,
We are both shocked and sorrowed about this news. Janet is such a wonderful person and is so very young at heart. She will be remembered for the wonderful vivacious person that she is and she has impressed all she came in contact with. It was truly a joy to spend time with her in Ohio and we liked her company very much. Betsy was so glad that she had fellow wives to share good times with and Janet really impressed her. Betsy is in tears to hear about this loss, as am I. I am at a loss for the right thing to say and can only let you know that you're in our thoughts and prayers and we offer our support and love during this time in your life. I loved taking the journey with you and Janet to carpool back and forth to Ohio and I wouldn't trade a moment of it (well... maybe the humidity of Ohio ;)... I enjoyed our meals, our dinners and just plain getting to know you both better. Janet always had a smile on her face and that's how we'll remember her. Again - you have our support and prayers... Paul and Betsy Gillespie... :( |
From myself and my family we send our condolences to you and your family in this time of need. While I never met you or your wife it seems that you all were loved by so many. It is always a sad time when someone of such a loving and caring nature is no longer with us.
God bless, Fred |
Mike,
I haven't yet had the pleasure of meeting you, but we do have several mutual friends. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. Neal Pinetop, AZ. |
Mike,
Although I never got to meet Janet, she seemed to have been the kind of person who made a lasting impression on people. I am sorry for your loss, and extend my sincere condolences to you and her family. Jeff Guisto |
Mike,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your families. Pat Buckley |
Mike,
My deepest sympathies to you and all your loved ones in your time of grief. I have only met your wife, and you, through the accounts in ClubCobra. Her spirit lives in all those who have met her. God bless you. Jamie |
MIKE,
MY SINCEREST SYMPATHY. BE STRONG, MY FRIEND, AND KNOW THAT THE MEMORIES WILL NEVER FADE BUT THAT TIME WILL TAKE THE EDGE OFF OF THE PAIN. YOU WILL REMAIN IN OUR THOUGHTS AND IN OUR PRAYERS. WITH WARMEST REGARDS, JACK |
It is moments like this that makes one realize how words don't flow as easy as they do when we fight.
I wish I was fighting with someone right now, I would be more comfortable and in my element than I am in trying to share in someone's loss, their sorrow. Using a keyboard is short of both HP and torque. It just doesn't do justice to how we feel. I wished I could do it in person. A hug might do better than any thing I can type right now. I am sure she is up there in the Big Spring Fling in the Heavens. TURK |
Hersh just picked me up at the airport. We got a couple pizzas and he told me about all the good wishes from all you guys. I've been at her Mom's farm since Friday with no computer. What a great, caring, thoughtful bunch you are. Janet loved you all. That's what convinced her to come to the Fling with me this time. she was really drawn in by the nature of the personalities she read about here and finally got to meet. Every time I turned around she was telling me "Mike, I'm having so much fun!" Now I gotta somehow get it together. And I will thanks to people like you.
