Jason will be getting his Spec Racer

Well with some creative financing and brainstorming I was able to pull it off. Just have to sign a few pieces of papers and give my first born away along with my left....you get the picture.

I will be getting the Spec Racer. It is scheduled to be ready for delivery in late January. It will have the full windshield and two street performance seats. The master plan is at the end of January the crate with the Spec Racer and the donor parts should be sitting in my warm garage.

Because the payments are where I need them I will be able to sit on my car a little longer if the offers are not coming in. SHEWWWW The plan was to have a little extra for a Supercharger and IRS after I sold my current Factory 5. It will be close.

I do not have the paint chalked into the budget because it will be sometime before I paint it. I want to get track time in and lessons and mistakes before painting it. After what Jack Flash went through in Tucson, it makes me cringe to have to pay more money!

Anybody heard of ROH Spyder Rims? Any pics that I can look at?

azguy2000 12-31-2002 02:59 PM

Congratulations Jason! So your not selling the cobra as a roller anymore?

Jason Lee Nye 12-31-2002 03:03 PM

I want to keep my options open and as long as I stay in the range to recoup my costs back I will do it. More options, more chances of selling.

azguy2000 12-31-2002 04:07 PM

so the kit came with the donor parts?

Jason Lee Nye 12-31-2002 04:19 PM

The person I bought it from threw them in for free. The only thing I will need to get is the radiator and a portion of the wiring harness I believe. Either way it was an opportunity I could not pass up when you figure taxes and donor parts. That is more money towards other things like "MODS". I will stick with the 302 that way if the Spec Series ever comes to Arizona or I get into it I can take off the mods that would disqualify me and stick with the stock 302. I am not losing sleep over the Spec Series Racing and just looking forward to doing road course races ect.

Most importantly my wife is looking forward to it. She has always wanted to race and do the Nascar experience ect. She has the lead foot and the tickets to show for it. If she really likes it them perhaps There will be a Spec Racer #2 in the future in my garage?

You will learn when you get older the majority of the battle of getting things you want when you are married is wining over the wife. You attract more bees with honey but if you offer $heet you only attract flies and pests. You treat your wife right you get good things. You treat her like $heet you get crap and a pain in the arse. I have friends that have not learned this yet. It is a chess game and you have to think 5 moves a head when married. They think they tell you what pants to wear but the fact still remains you wear the pants.

You will know what I mean some day.

mikiec 12-31-2002 04:23 PM

Jason,

Is that Gary's car?

Mike

Jason Lee Nye 12-31-2002 04:26 PM

Yes it is Mike.

I am stoked!

He is going to see if he can have Factory 5 push up the delivery date. He is going down to Factory 5 to drop of the donor parts to be shipped with the crate. I will be using Stewart Transport.

Jason Lee Nye 12-31-2002 04:46 PM

Mike,

Do you think you might be able to give AZGUY a ride. Your seat are leather so if he wizzes his pants it should wipe off. Or perhaps you could talk Gordon into it. I heard Gordon Levy is a *****cat when it comes to these Cobras. We wouldn't want to scare him too much!

I thought I heard the AZGUY say something like,"Cobra owners just Sun City type folk behind the wheel and don't know how to drive a car fast." Don't quote me I think he said something along those lines.

azguy2000 12-31-2002 04:55 PM

LOL!I never said such a thing...I see your still at work...

casaleenie 12-31-2002 05:01 PM

Jason,

They tell you what pants to wear then you put on the pants that they really wanted you to wear.... In that chess game you're refering to: they are the ones that are five moves ahead..
Twenty five years down the road you'll know what I'm talking about.. Just guessing I'd say you are about 32. Said the same things at that age...
Sounds like you married a good woman...

Jason Lee Nye 12-31-2002 05:08 PM

Leaving shortly and then off to the 5 & Diner then off to a bar downtown area.

azguy2000 12-31-2002 05:33 PM

fun,i'm going to a party in Paradise Valley...should be fun and hope to see some nice cars!

Jason Lee Nye 12-31-2002 05:34 PM

Dam n I am 32! She is the best and even when her warranty is up I am keeping her. She is everything I wanted in a woman. We are complete opposites but we compliment each other with our differences.

I am not saying it is perfect but near perfect. We all have our bad days, just can't take it personal and learn to forgive. I have been married 4 1/2 years and it seems like we got married yesterday. REALLY it does.

Give and take and it is always best to give more to the wives and take less. When it comes times to those few things us guys want they are more open minded.

azguy2000 01-01-2003 12:29 PM

how about advice on girlfriends?that would help me out...

mikiec 01-01-2003 03:46 PM

azguy...

Forget the babes...Every dime you spend on them is one less you save towards your Cobra, After getting out of High school and College that is. Get the car then start looking for a good woman. This way it's yours to keep after the divorce....:3DSMILE:

azguy2000 01-01-2003 03:51 PM

Good idea...you can call me Pat.

casaleenie 01-01-2003 05:10 PM

Jason,
The age thing wasn't just a lucky guess..... I pulled up your profile... You are one of the few that posts a birth date in your bio.... Don't know why the majority marks it N/A..

Grasshopper,

Girlfriends are a dime a dozen at your age. You will change and they will change. Some for the better and some for the worst.

Until you get married tell them what they want to hear. I waited until I was 27 to get married and I am glad I did. I made most of my mistakes in relationships before I got married. Girlfriends are like practice drills. Don't get to attached and play the game of "I love you" and go with it, but realize that they will not be there forever and there will be a time to move on to the next big catch. The drills get harder and more complex as you get older until you realize that you are ready.

azguy2000 01-02-2003 11:29 AM

Jason, are you calling me a Grasshopper?

Jason Lee Nye 01-02-2003 12:15 PM

Your too young to remember Kung Fu the series.
