Let's Go Somewhere Next Weekend!

Ant suggestions? Temps about 70.

mrmustang 01-26-2004 07:10 AM

Temps here around 18 degrees. If I was not helping a friend pick up his new kit on Saturday, and I had the spare funds, I was thinking perhaps the Florida Keys, or maybe Aruba.

Hey, I have a suggestion! Never done it, but heard some scooter trash talking about it.
I-10 west to 85
south about 4 miles to Old US 80,
south to Gila Bend,
Maricopa Rd. to I-10 about Firebird Lake
150 miles round trip

Or.........maybe something around Florence?

JWheaton 01-26-2004 07:38 AM

Us New Jersy people are coming to your place this weekend. If your not going to be there please leave beer and food. :p

mikiec 01-26-2004 09:04 AM

Jim,

I'm up for it on Saturday.

I like either one. If we do the 85 route we can give the bird to the convicts holding that girl hostage. We will need a meeting spot.

Mike

mrpink 01-26-2004 09:23 AM

Groovy!! Mike, maybe your side of town, take the 101 down to the 10 to 85. Or, if we do Florence, Globe, we can meet on the east side. I don't care where we go, let's just GO!

mikiec 01-26-2004 10:16 AM

Jim,

We can meet at the first rest area on I-10 after you pass The loop 101 in West Phoenix. This is the same place we meet for the run to Knotts.

What's a good time?

Mike

mrpink 01-26-2004 10:23 AM

Anytime with you Mike is a good time! 0900?

mikiec 01-26-2004 10:27 AM

Let's make it for 9:30.

I'1l get an email out tonight.

Mike

Hey guys just a heads up at the end of each month the DPS and Pinal's finest tend to be out between the Achin and Wild Horse Pass. Since they put the new houses in they have a large source of monies to recover in speeding tickets. My radar detector has paid for itself many times over going down that road daily. Great road to open up a tad if no piggies are around. It is open range so watch out for the Wild Horses. I have only seen one that was hit since living in that area. Mostly dead coyotes scatter the road and it is strange but it seems to be a dangerous road for Catholics, shrines all over the place:LOL:

mrpink 01-26-2004 11:27 AM

Jason, maybe you could create a diversion. Perhaps a large explosion out somewhere. How's your C-4 supply?

Maricopa 01-26-2004 12:04 PM

Durn you finished Cobra people! Go ahead, have your fun! :D

Mike

mrpink 01-26-2004 01:34 PM

Thanks Mike. We will. Another 3 or 4 years you can join us!

mrpink 01-30-2004 09:50 AM

Mike, this is on the north side of I-10?

mikiec 01-30-2004 10:24 AM

Yes....

If you want we can meet at the 5 and diner at 8:30am.

Mike

mrpink 01-30-2004 11:28 AM

Mike, I have to come from a different way. See you at the rest stop.

mikiec 01-30-2004 01:18 PM

OK

mikiec 01-31-2004 03:45 PM

Jim,

Where were you?????

I was at the rest area from 9:15 til 10:45. Bernardo and Mike Cote were there.

Mike

mrpink 01-31-2004 04:07 PM

Mike, sorry we didn't hook up. The first rest area was 30 miles west of the 85 road. I pulled onto the 85 and waited on the side of the road. From your email, it didn't sound like you were going. i was @ the intersection of I-10 and 85 from 9:30 -9:55. Where did you go?

mikiec 01-31-2004 04:30 PM

I got home about midnight. After all those hours at work I really needed the drive.

I was already at the rest area by the time you got to I-10 and 85. I thought about stopping on the side of the road and waiting there, but pressed on to the rest area. Another 30 miles was easy.

Did anybody else show up?

Mike
