Breakfast Anyone?
Greetings
I was thinking (I know, I know) that we are not engaging in one of the really swell traditions of the BACC over here in "Frying Pan City" , namely the breakfast thing... Sooo , I have located a spot which should allow fair and equitable access for all (in other words, not right down my block as in Dublin..) and allow for my car to actually warm up before I arrive. I propose that we meet there on Saturdays at 7- 7:30 for the usual abuse and descriptive sessions of each other's misfortune with their car this week so that everyone can have a good laugh at our expense. I have a spot in mind , The 5 and Diner in Deer Valley. It is at the intersection of 101 and 17, I include the map from yahoo... I shall be there tomorrow at 7 to check it out, anyone else may join me if you have an interest. If it isn't to our liking, let's find another location...
5 and Diner:

DEER VALLEY (27th Ave & Beardsley)
20216 N. 27th Avenue
Phoenix, AZ 85027
Telephone: (623) 869-9311
See you tomorrow....

I like your idea but doubt that I could make it too often from my little corner of East Bumbscrew Mesa. Another 20 or 30 miles towards the East and South would cut the drive in half. Maybe somewhere around the 101 and Via Linda or Shea? An early Saturday morning Cobra ride would be a good way to start the weekend. My neighbors would think so too.

I will try this one tomorrow, to see if it's ok... they have one on Indian Bend as well, but I think it is in the mall... maybe next week we can check that one out?

Ah
They tell me there is a large lot at the rear? Maybe the Indian Bend one is better? The mall will be empty that early methinks...

Steve,
There is a large lot in the rear, but none of the cars will be visible from the Diner.
16th street and Camelback might be better. I've only been there once, so I do not remember the layout.

Why do I care if the car is visible from the diner? The cars are not visible from the Athens in Dublin either.. I'm confused....

Steve,
Not sure why we care but most like to be able to keep their car in sight.

Hmm
I am beginning to see why you guys never have breakfast...
I am going to the restaurant at Indian Bend- What can I say? I'll check it out tomorrw and let you know about the size of the crowd. I expect to be the only one there at 7 am in the Pavillions on a Saturday. It is the easiest to get to I think by using 101... Anyone who would care to join me, great we can start a neat tradition- otherwise figure out where you would like to go, it's your town... for me to get to 16th and Camelback requires me to drive 78 blocks down Shea according to Yahoo - I don't like traffic lights that much.. I still don't get the keep your car in sight thing.... personally I couldn't care less as I see the car every morning and evening when I use one of the other cars to go to and from work... The parking faces Indian Bend and is not behind the building, more to the side. I'll see you more adventurous types in the morning... Karlos, this is closer than Shea....

Rats! I didn't check the site until this morning and I'm sure that by now, or at least by the time I could get up to Indian Bend, that you'd be long gone. I guess I didn't think that another location was being considered for today. If a location is settled on for next Saturday, that's not 'way far for me, I should be able to make it. Did go to a little car show at Lindsay and Warner in Gilbert last night that is growing nicely. Think I heard the count was 104 cars. This show is the relocation of the Mesa Drive/Warner one. I'll be at the Kmart show tonight, enjoying the wonderful mid 80°s temperatures.
