Fitz 10-25-2004 11:52 PM

I know, I was drulling just standing there lst Sunday along the fence doing nothing but watching?

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 10-26-2004 12:26 AM

We all forgot to mention that Bob (Fitz) was there with us on Sunday at Speedworld. So was Jim (harley). Boy, Fitz was ready to race, all he needed was a cobra. LOL.

Karl, that is a great time. A 60 foot time of 1.5 is also lots of fun. I ran a 11.60 at 129 mph last year with a 2.25 60ft time on bfg's. Traction is the key. Great time. Scott

Karl Bebout 10-26-2004 12:00 PM

Thanks Scott. My 345.55.15 BFG Drag TAs with 16#s hooked up pretty well, after I got them well heated. I did smell quite a bit of tire smoke after hitting second gear but it kept pulling and going straight, so I kept after it. Although I have a 10" 3200 RPM stall convertor, I think the combination probably works out better for drag racing than if I had a four or five speed. Sure made me smile.

Karl Rocks!

Hey Karl that car of yours rocks! Glad to see that you got into the 10's not a lot of us can say that! (not even me:CRY:) Now all you need to do is turn that motor around and repaint the nose of that car %/ Just kidding your Cheby is fine just the way it is:3DSMILE: Keep it safe!

Karl Bebout 10-27-2004 11:00 AM

Thanks Brian. I'm old enough to remember when Sox and Martin, Bill Grumpy Jenkins, Dyno Don Nickleson, and those guys were running about the same times with their pro stockers and how wonderful I thought that was. Its also about the same as what the old Dragon Snake ran that held national records for a long time. Just amazing at what can be gotten through mufflers and on DOT tires now. Anyway, sure was a fun ride!

I did, I did, I did. Still chuckling about Jeff taking the blame for my transgressions.

vettestr 10-27-2004 02:24 PM

Ya know Karlos I am a very sensative guy. Not only did I/was I smoked like an old cheech and chong script but am still very upset about being spoken harshly too............. LOL... letsdoitagain

mikiec 10-27-2004 03:16 PM

Do you think I can get a stern talking to for going to slow...

Karl Bebout 10-27-2004 04:04 PM

Good Gawd Mikiec, how you opened yourself up! But, being the ever-caring person that I am, I'll take the high ground and not seize the opportunity. Much gnashing of teeth and biting of tongue going on here. I'm sure that the folks at the track are very understanding that there are SOME of Dearborn's finest that just don't run too fast, even when the have more than 10 PSI oil pressure.

ItBites 10-27-2004 04:13 PM

Karl,

Noticed the new avatar. Cool...

Karl Bebout 10-27-2004 05:31 PM

Eric, I got the avatar from Hotfingers from Ohio. He's got his SBC running in the 10's and he was kindly enough to shoot me a copy.

harley 10-27-2004 08:02 PM

Hey, Karl I noticed the new logo (what's an avatar?) Is that how long you last with your wife? LOL If that's it I'm in the 6 sec club.
