Renting a lightweight trailer locally..

Well.....the search is stiil on and now speading out thru the southwest. Wondering if it's possible to rent a lightweight trailer locally to haul a Cobra back home if I find one. I'm searching SD, LA, LV, EP, and maybe Denver. I'm running a Tacoma V6 4X4 that can haul 4K easily. I know I can ship it, but I'm going to have to visually inspect the car myself, so why not haul it back myself. Thanks for any input... Gordon

I would simply check with U-Haul. They have open car haulers.

I rented a U-Haul open car carrier, to haul my frst Cobra home. I used a Chevy van with a 4.3 V6. Even had some mountians to cross in W. Virginia. It was marginal in the power department but made it ok. The trailer is made of steel and very heavy. I would guess it weighs about 3,000 lb empty. Call U-Haul and check.
