Picnic
Saturday April 8th.
Rattlesnake Cove, Bartlett Lake. The fee for daily use is $4.00 bring singles. The meeting place for those wanting to caravan out together will be the Chevron Station on the corner of Cave Creek Rd. And CareFree Highway. Time will be 9:33 As usual, I'll bring the charcoal, mayo, ketchup, mustard and paper plates. You bring what you want to eat and drink. I spent the past hour talking with the Ranger's and they confirmed that we cannot save parking space. It is first come first server. I spoke with the Head Rangers assistant and she suggested, after talking with the Head Ranger, that we could ask people not to park in the spots we would like to have. She did say that if someone wanted one of the spots and refused not to park elsewhere, then we had to let them park there. I will need a couple of you to join me and Ginny at the Chevron station at 7:30am. We will leave and get to the Cove early so we can try to save spaces without saving them. Hope to see many of you there. Mike |
Youse guys from the east valley, aka "God's Country", want to hook up and make the trip together?
|
Sure. Not quite that early tho. You going to be at the show tomorrow? If so we wil talk then.
|
I will be there ...unless Gordon wacked the car if I go and do some track time with him Sunday
|
Thanks for the vote of confidence Bob.

Looks like the parade is on again... Heres how to bypass it.
Mike, the Annual Carefree Fiesta Days Parade is, again, this Saturday, April 8th. The south side of Cave Creek Road will be closed from 9am to 11am. Except for the EARLY goers I suggest we take Dynamite Rd East to Pima Rd north to Cave Creek Rd. Or Stage Coach Pass east from Tom Darlington Rd (Scottsdale Rd.) to Pima and north to Cave Creek Rd. Bob |
Mesa Dave and I and our sweeties will be leaving East BumScrew Mesa about 8:30 and head for the 101.
Tony, Brian, any other East Valley folks want to hook up along the way? We'll just slink up Pima Rd. to Cave Creek and head east. |

What an excellent little pic-nik! Think there was a total of 20 snakes show up plus several brand 'X'ers made appearances. Thanks for the set up and arranging. Mr. Pink brought a bunch of nice hats so we have even more gang colors. I really knew to make the left turn into Rattlesnake Cove, but just thought that everyone behind me wouldn't have the normal "Mikiec" experience if we all didn't make at least one U turn trying to get somewhere.
|
Karl,
You keep doing that and they will send you to the back of the pack with me. :3DSMILE: :3DSMILE: The dead Corvette was revived. He made a wrong turn leaving also. Mike |
Good job Mike! My wife and I had a great time. She got bit on the calf and is doing a fine job of healing. The essential oil, Lavender helps a great deal for burns.
