We drive ours down here. What hot weather are you talking about ? Yea, the seat does get hot and the steering wheel tries to fry the fingers, but the thrill is still there and we get a lot of thumbs up from other drivers. John

Fitz,
I drive mine to Kierland for various reasons -- haircut from the Russian barber at V's primarily. Was out today until about 1:00. Had to throw the towel on the seat, though... Wonder if anyone else lives up this way (North Scottsburg)?

Boy o boy, these things are SPORTS cars and are not for the faint of heart. I take mine out every weekend I'm home, but I do avoid mid day and 110°. My lovely yellow towel makes for a nice contrast on the black leather seat, and keeps me from leaving patches of skin stuck to it. I've got to admit though, I am pretty gun shy about driving in the rain. Must be the hours of clean up afterwards and the thrill of the occasional landscape rearranging.

It is hot driving a open car. I have taken mine out miday early afternoon at 110 deg F or better, to check how the cooling system handles the heat. So far all runs normal. Other than that I run in the mornings.

If it was Friday, it was probably me. That was the gel coat on my MK2. I was going to the MVD on Greenfield and Baseline to get it registered for the first time. All went well, except when I went to go home, my fuel pump wasn't working and had to get it towed. GRRR. I got it home back in Peoria, and it started right up. Oh well.

I'd love to go on the run, but I'm actually moving to MN this week. I just wanted to get it registered in AZ because it's easier. I still have some stuff to kind of work through, but I needed to get a plate on it because my new house is blocks away from a police station and those little cruises to see if whatever is working right now will be loaded with trips past policemen, I'm sure. So, at least it's "legal" when I do it.
