Something like this looks about right, and the price is right. Any advice on investigating this?

The car seems quite nice for the price, the owner and I had gone back and forth on a sale, but I cannot come up with the extra funds at this time to consumate the deal. I did have a concern about the lack of coil overs in the rear, but since I was going to switch to the FFR optional three link in the future it was not a big deal. At that price, I say go for it as you are getting a nice driveable car for less than what it cost to build (I'll bet the seller has every bit of 27K into it)....

Just my two cents worth.

Go over to ffcobra and do a search for the dropped butt mod.

What's the deal with Cobracountry? Unless I am looking in the wrong section, I have not many new Cobra's for sale there. Is this the 'bottom' of the market?

This is what we generally call... (or atleast soon-to-be) February ;) There are peaks and valleys, every year though the peaks continue to get higher. Obviously there will be an end to this someday. But we all have plenty of time.

Depends on who you ask, what you are looking for, and when.

Good quality cars that are priced well, sell. There are more replica Cobras on the road now than ever, and many people are driving them or waiting a few more months for warmer weather just around the corner. Watch what happens, it's late January, give it 30-60 days, and you'll see SOLD, SOLD, SOLD on many cars just like every year on Cobracountry. And for others who are not listing, Cobras are not worth selling because you just end up going out and buying another one to replace it. :D

As heard at a car show recently...

admirer : "what would you want for this ?"

me : "You better have one hell of an interesting trade to offer"

Smiles on both faces and we parted ways :)

I sold my first replica Cobra and then bought it back for MORE money (3K more) than I sold it to the guy for. He did not want to sell it. I just couldn't live without it and he couldn't pass up the quick profit. :D Later I sold it AGAIN (and STILL made a profit when the smoke cleared) and bought the ERA (which no doubt I will loose my shirt on)! Moral of the story? Do NOT buy these cars for an 'investment', their far to 'emotional' to think clearly about when selling, buying or modifying.
