If you want to put a car at the Pavillions during B.J I would suggest you do what a friend of mine does - park your street car in a space the night before and swap cars the next day. You will find it almost impossible to get in otherwise. The flyers go on the seat or you will be kicked out, no question as that is the standard policy at the Pavillions. There will be about 750 cars there on those two weekends, so don't think you can show at 0630 and find parking. I know lots of people who sell cars there during that time and the second weekend is better than the first. You tend to get the morons that are even stupider than the usual BJ people - they don't want to go home without a car at any price and they are pretty loose with the cash-a-roo.
Soft Market- I sold my Cobra this year for the market price I think, I don't know what you are asking. I got 45K for a Superformance car with a 427 FE and real Shelby heads, Lemans cam etc.. that is what these cars are worth used if you want to sell it and it still took about 6 months. That was about 45% of the original cost, although I was the second owner. When you look at $60K or $70K like some are trying to get, there are a lot of real (i.e. non fake, plastic) cars that are available like 308,328, 348 Ferraris, 2 or 3 year old Porsche 911's and really good 50's and 60's Corvettes or a new Z06 as well as the new GT500 (which is real) and an F150 and a trailer to put it on , well you get the idea. An Autocraft AC car can be found for a lot less than this too and it is a pseudo real car. I was happy to get what I got and the purchaser was happy as well and he won't get hurt in resale down the road. There are a lot of these cars now, like 2700 SPF cars, 5000? FFR cars and probably 10,000 others. That is more cars than I think can be absorbed by the market at the high end price point.
If you want to sell your car you have to be realistic about the price, try asking someone you know who has a Ferrari , Porsche or nice older Corvette what they think these cars cost new. I will tell you that they will be dumbfounded - I have never met any of them who thought these cars are even $35K unless they have looked at them before. We are truly in love with the cars and that is why we spend the money, but others are not in our boat so it can be tough to find a "net new" buyer.
