SPF got here this afternoon

The car got here from Palm Beach at about 5:00PM. It was in good company with a new Galardo, Morrison Viper and Bently.

Congratulations!

You must be flying a mile high!
How cool!

jdog
P.S. It looks like they shorted you just a little on the black paint though.;)

Stentor 02-22-2007 10:32 PM

Very Nice

The car looks very nice. I love that color combination (titanium with a black stripe, I believe).

Enjoy!

wtm442 02-22-2007 10:53 PM

Congrats

Titanium with black stripes - excellent choice.

BB or SB?

Remember ... no flooring the gas pedal for first 500 miles

Are you going to sleep out in the garage with it tonight?
Congratulations.

SJK2 02-23-2007 04:20 AM

Very nice indeed......

Just in time for the weekend....get some photos out on the road.

No matter how nice a car is, there's always something to do to make it better. Lots of little projects to keep me busy. Anyone know the paint code for 1998 titanium or silver? There are two small paint chips in the front. :)
John

Congratulations on the new car, it looks great! Who did you use to transport it (saw the carrier in the pics), and were you happy with them?

TerrysSPF 02-23-2007 08:35 AM

Contact a Superformance dealer and they can get you the paint code (and the paint). They have both "Titanium" and "Silver" as paint choices, so make sure you get the correct paint (going by your pic's, I'd say your car is Titanium). You may also want to ask the original owner if he has any paint. Not sure about the early days (1998), but my car (a 2002) came with touch-up paint. -Perhaps the orig owner has it and forgot to send it along with the car.

-Have fun!

Excaliber 02-23-2007 08:44 AM

Congrats!

Any idea how the paint chips got there?

Maricopa 02-23-2007 09:06 AM

What, he couldn't get that truck to the street in front of your house? ;)

Looks great John! I'd like to take a close look at those spats, they're exactly what I'd like to make for mine.

Ernie, my guess is from something hitting it.....

Nice car, and a stereo! If you ever get custom pipes like me someday, you won't be able to hear it. :D

I always use Transport4Less, a broker. The truckline that brought the car was Emerald Coast Carriers out of Pensacola, Fl. 500.00 cheaper than the next closest bid. I'm very happy with the move.

Hey Double,
A huge Congrats on your new Baby!! ON TOUCH UP PAINTS = The paint code you were asking about will get you close. Even a paint code will most likely be off a little to maybe a bunch. Let me give you a heads up on the best 25 bucks you can spend for piece of mind.
Take your car to the paint store (auto paint supply/distributor) and have that stores GURU or (color tinter) match your color. The going rate is 25 bucks for custom tint matching + cost of paint. The TINTER will amaze you with ability to perfectly tweak colors until perfect so the touch ups become far less noticeable. The store will also have little swab sticks that make job easier and better outcome. Be sure to buy some mineral spirits to clean wax and etc... from the area before doing layered touch ups are done. Fill any little chip in layers as it will shrink a bit and sneaking up on repair will give better outcome. ENJOY your new Baby !!!!!

They are low on the front. I'm surprised that with 7,000 miles it has so few.
John

Excaliber 02-23-2007 09:22 AM

OH, 7000 miles and thats all? Looking good!

...I thought it was new and perhaps damaged in shipping. :D

Archrms 02-23-2007 09:49 AM

John,

Thanks for the shipping info and recommendation.

Woodz428 02-23-2007 11:19 AM

Congratulations John. I always use a local paint store that scans the paint when I want to match something. It adjust for fade, etc. and the match is unbelievable. I'm sure there's a local store in your area that has the same.
