My Dad is doing fine and may be coming home soon after what turned out to be a 5 artery heart bypass. He came through better than expected and is ahead of the average curve. I would like to THANK everybody for your prayers, phone calls and support. A check up showed problems that turned out to be 90 percent total blockage of the 4 main arteries, still not sure where the 5th came from....
Tuesday the 27th is his 74th birthday and coming home may be the best present we could ask for. They did a newer type procedure that is called OFF PUMP bypass that reduces or eliminates the damage to the body of the heart lung bypass machine. Reduced or no short term memory loss and long recovery time. This method allows him to go home and be up and running around on his own after 10 to 14 days on average.
Mikiec and Ken have passed the word on his condition for me but I wanted to let everybody know myself he is doing great and again thank everybody for helping me through this.
