Down for awhile
Looks like I may not make Memories on Main or anything else for awhile, only a guess at this point but I think I either lost the bottom half of a distributor or a timing chain. I was driving the Beeline today, all of the sudden the oil pressure guage started jumping around from 40 to 70 and then the engine shut down doing while doing 85mph. Anybody else have a guess before I start tearing things apart?

Does it turn over?
Must be the day for Clevelands. I started mine yesterday, let it warm up and then started to drive off. Got to the end of the block and just about snapped my head of from the backfiring and sputtering. It's gotten progressively worse since Globe. Pulled the distributor today and I'm having that checked out. Looked at the carburetor on Thursday. Running out of options..

I think Larry nailed it, or the gear was not compatible and is gone now. Hope it is that easy.
