Default Karl...

Karl,

You and I are no longer kings of getting off track while leading the pack.

The new leader is Lyle. He got lost, twice, using a GPS.

Mikie, I thought I raised you better than that! You should know never to believe anything a lawyer tells you! Especially when it's something technical.

I pass my "Pathfinder" badge on to Lyle. "How heavy the mantle lays on those willing to lead".

Dan,

When going to riverside from Buena Park. We made the transition from the 91 to the 60. Somehow we started going back to LA. Lyle got off the 60 and we drove through an industrial park looking for a legal spot to make a U-turn.

Later on when getting gas... We needed to cross the intersection to get to the station. Not our feerless leader. He turns right, goes down 3 blocks, turns into a residential neighborhood to make a U-Turn.

How can you guys be PROUD of getting lost ?????????????? Mikiec is being conservative, you guys need to hear the whole story. Here's a small part of it: Lyle didn't want to make an iliegal U-turn but minutes later he made an illegal left turn.

Did anyone mention how slow we were driving thru LA ? We were going so slow that a 39 foot RV towing a car passed us. We were going so slow that the only thing that we passed was a disabled car. Oh yes, we did pass some standing water also. ( I passed some gas) We were going so slowly that in thirty minutes my watch gained three minutes. I should have guessed that we would get lost because as we left Knotts we turned east and went three blocks, only to make a U-turn and go past Knotts and turn north. Remind me never again to follow a guy with GPS. I saw more of the side streets in San Berdo than of the Interstate. I thought that Lyle was taking us to his sister's for coffee and cookies. For this Lyle gets the "Pathfinder" award ! You guys will win the Most Miles Driven Award this year, and you'll never leave Phoenix. Is there a "Challenge" award there in Phoenix for getting the most people lost on a trip ?

Only if it involves ice cream, John!

I may be glad I am without a car right now. Look at all the money I'm saving not using gas visiting all of the side streets and alleys..

John,

It is not the destination, it is the drive. Some of us become one with the car and actually enjoy driving. You older, impatient ones need to be on a steady diet of prozac. You need to stop and smell the daisy's and enjoy.
