Default Route 66 Cruise

Hey all you AZ Cobra folks!

I just got some reservations at the Holiday Inn in Williams on May 2nd. so I can do a little cruisin with some AZ Cobras on May 2/3 &4th. How many of you guys and girls are planning on making the Annual Fun run on "old 66"? I got some information from the Route 66 web site, and Jim Olsen (thanks Jim). Marilyn and I plan on driving to Williams in our Hurricane and are looking forward to meeting you guys.

Anyway, hope to see you there, Bill Bess LHC

Bill, I'm sure that by the 4th, you will have seen more of some of us than you wanted. This year looks to be a real GOOOOOD run. Looking forward to it.

I realize that the run is a long way off for planning, but what is the departure plan for Friday?

The departure plan is we usually meet at the gas station carefree Hwy and I-17. The meeting time is noon and leave no later than 12:30pm.

The meeting place is subject to change.

I will have to follow you guys later on Friday. Can't get off work until 2:30. Will drive up I-17 to Flag and take a left to Williams. I may even beat you there. LOL.

Why would you beat us there? Do you think we'd be following Karl again? Not this time!

No, but Barb and Brian will be there... now where is that piston? let's see the cam shaft is connected to the

The bad part is that it is going to take $230 bucks in GAS just to break in the motor (500mi) before I go on a 3 day cruz.....

I'll tell you why. First you guys will meet at 12:30ish, depart at 1ish, take a leasurely drive through Prescott Valley and make a gas/food/pit stop in Chino Valley then head north to I-40 about 20 miles too far west, then backtrack. I, however will leave about 3pm and drive non-stop to Williams for a 5:30pm arrival. about the same time as you guys.

I'll bet that Davids says the camshaft is connected to the heart. He just had four pistons replaced and is on break-in lubricant now.

It's more like the check book for me, a simple "re-build" has cost me thousands..... By choice of course It's a good thing my wife does not know about this web site!

Gapping the rings now, it shouldn't be long....

Brian, a rebuild, all ready? Did you get 10,000 miles out of that motor? Seems like it hasn't been running all that long, but then, time do fly.
