WCCC Invades Phoenix!
Well, that's how "The Enquirer" headline would read to get your attention.
Actually one of our Windy City Club members left this morning for the Phoenix area hauling his Kirkham. Mark and Laura who got married last Saturday are going on their honeymoon with their Cobra in tow.
They planned to arrive by Friday, so if you see a bright, shiny Kirkham whizzing down your streets that you don't recognize, it's probably Mark and Laura.
I told them that would find out from you if there are any events this weekend where they may meet up with you. Of course being freshly married I don't know how much time their Cobra will actually be off it's trailer!

Did anyone send them the weather reports for Phx in June? 107º today.
There's are two Sat night shows that are attended by the AZ Cobra club regulars but no official drives that I know about.

Mike, having just married maybe they want to crawl in the back seat every few hundred miles for a little whoopie, and that would be very difficult in a Cobra!

It may be difficult, but not impossible.. If they were real Cobra folks.... Just think of the stories they'd have to tell....

Hey Ralph, the Phoenix replies seem a bit hot (cool). If Mark and Laura want to swing down Tucson way we'll be glad to welcome them with a drive/run and lunch.

PHEEEEW! Mike, for a moment I thought you said, "John's Elephant!"
Hey, John, do you still have those pins sticking out of your hood scoop?

Ralph, Ralph, Ralph, you are disapointing me. No, I don't have "pins" sticking out of the hood scoop. I work rather slowly but continously and do complete one thnig at a time.

Ralph, please remind Mike and Laura that Tucson is higher in altitude, 2,600", and therefore cooler. And, yes, a heater. I do drive the Cobra 12 months of the year and so far I have driven in 30 of the 48 Lower States. A heater is a pleasant convience.

That darn Laura, I knew she was two-timin"! It was only last Saturday that she married Mark and now I see she's with Mike.
I think it was you that said you had attended the London,OH Cobra show a few years back, right? Well then you must have heard a young lady yelling, "LITE 'EM UP!" That would have been Laura.
Seriously, John, I know it can get pretty cold in your neck-o'-the-woods. I remember about 15 years ago in February I left Chicago in 70 degree weather only to be met by my son, driving from the the Tucson airport and getting snowflakes on the windshield.

honeymoon in Phx W/ Cobra
I guess that would be OK.
Sightsee and run errands in the morning
spend the day in the hotel room
Room service for lunch...
Go out again late in the evening.
Sounds good to me!!
