Coronado Speed Festival

Hi Gang,
Is anyone planning to go to this?
Or have you been in the past, is it as cool as it sounds?

I am thinking about taking a vacation and working it around that weekend, Sept. 27 and 28.

It is definitely as cool as it sounds. Great event with loads of great cars in every class. The open pits are especially nice as you can browse around and see the cars up close and talk to the owners/drivers. The mfr row is usuall pretty large if you want to browse the wares. There is also a big car corral that will have several hundred cars from the local clubs (Ferrari, vette, viper, mustang, cobra, Lambo, etc.) in attendance so it makes for a big car show in itself.

I was there last year and will be there this year too. It's a great event and you won't be sorry if you go. Last year, there wasn't any 427 Cobras but there were a few small blocks, including CSX2301!
The quality of some of the cars was beyond fantastic.
Don't wait much longer to look for a hotel. They are going fast.

June 9th was the date of the press release. The dates of the event are Sept 27 and 28.
