February 28 Show and Shine
Downtown Mesa Association is sponsoring a Show and Shine on 2/28 in Mesa. The AZ Cobras are invited again to park at Kirks' Sports Grill on Main St. I would like to get a count of how many cars we are going to have. So speak up and don't be shy. The hours are 11:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Come for all or part. Register to compete or just show up. More info at hotrodplanet.com

Seems this one is a little different. The show is restricted to a single parking lot off of Main St. The cruise will begin in the evening around 4:00 so that will be open. Unless you want to pay $30 to be on display all day, come in the evening. We'll still meet at Kirk's only instead of 11:00, we'll start around 4:00PM.

I'm thinking that I'll show up for this, weather permitting. I will not, however, be paying $30 to provide something of interest for people to look at. My rollerskate is no where near show quality anyway, and never will be. I prefer driving the crap out of it to waxing.

THat's why I changed it. I'd pay $30 for the show in Havasu because of all the Bikinis to watch.. Understand I like the patterns on the material..

I'm confused (not unusual for me). I have a clipping from the local rag saying that Chandler has their 6th annual Car and Hot Rod Show on Sat. Are there two events going on the same day?

Sorry Dan I left out the date. Ad was in the Chandler "Tribune" and says Sat, February 28th. I thought it odd that the two cities would schedule events on the same day. Website www.chandlercarshow.com. I'll go to the Chandler event.

It's not unusual for two cities to hold events on the same day. Mesa is a little more casual and not well publicized. This way you can attend both events.

It'll do Bob B. a world of good to come out to God's Country. Maybe we'll drag him on down to the Mormon Temple and they can make him see the "true light", or at least 10% of it.

Hi Gang
I will be at the evening show down town if I can get out of Chandler by 5:30. We have planned the car show all year long and I have to be at CHD at 6 AM on the 28th.
