-Dean (daily driver= '02 Z06) P.S. I have more issues ("Hey, let's race!") with the turbo Mitsubishi's/Subaru's and the Mustang crowd than fellow 'Vette drivers. Wouldn't trade my 'Vette for any other daily driver...every commute is a blast. Too bad that the OP had a bad experience with one of the bad apples. |

OK, I have to jump in here with my own speed camera story. Shortly after the first ones were installed on 101 in Scottsdale, I was leaving work as usual, and pulled onto 101 southbound at Princess Road. The right two lanes ahead of me were full of slow movers, and the left lane was clear. So I moved over there at my usual cruising speed of about 65-68, slowly moving past the slower cars on my right. Very soon a woman in a silver Hummeroid comes tearing up behind me and zooms right up to my bumper, jabbering away on her cell phone and gesturing angrily. Normally, I would just move over, but there was no gap. She backs off, then guns it again and rides my bumper some more. She continues to do this, getting angrier by the second. I look down the road to where I know the first set of cameras are, and judge the relative speeds of the cars in the next lane over. I speed up just slightly, and when the lane is clear, I signal and move over, still moving well under the camera trigger speed. The woman in the Hummeroid jams it, and comes tearing up alongside at a high rate of speed. When she gets even with me, she aims her finger at me (same general direction as the camera) and flips me off... just as the speed camera fires! It was a perfect setup! I'd love to have seen the reaction when that photo was reviewed.

some of these stories are hilarious! But the one where the guy did 360's in front of a cop -- classic! I wish I could have seen that -- while being as far away as possible of course!
ha ha ha ha -- keep the laughs coming guys! |
You guy's do know the real reason for the speed cameras?
It's us old cali folks retiring in your state and you guy's all drive too fast so we asked the state to slow you guys down. :D :D :D PS Better watch out for assault rifle bans.... coming soon to your state! :D :D :D |
a buddy of mine just got flashed. He is going to wait until the ticket expires so on his front door is a sign (on the inside), do not answer the door from anyone that you do not know. After 60 days, I think they are thrown out.
