Default Well, she is up for sale!

I wish it were my wife and not my car! My wife just won't ride in it with me, it's too hot and messes up her hair.
I have just found no way to have the time off on the weekends to enjoy it with the guy's and the club.
I put it up today and we will see, I won't be heart broken if it doesn't sell because it is not a need situation so if it doesn't happen, oh well.
I might even look for a coupe w/ac (kind of sacreligious) but it is better than none at all.
here is the link, let me know if anyone has any questions.

thank you, Jim.

That sux! Too bad Jim. Do you think she'd ride in a coupe?

Jim, I am so sorry to hear you are getting divorced, --but selling your wife-- that takes the cake , --all so you can have a coupe.

There are tops available for these cars as well as AC units that can be retrofitted if you really need it to keep the better half happy.

Hey Jim...

Sorry to hear that. Might be better to replace the wife, get a different job, etc.. Not saying it's cheaper, just more fun.

Bring it by on Saturday nights, put a sign in the window. Leave it for a few hours and then come by and pick it up. I can answer any questions that might be asked for you.

Mike

Expensive to replace the wife.

Just tell her to sit tight in the air conditioned house while you take the Cobra out. My wife doesn't like riding in the Cobra either...so she's got her own convertible with AC.

trying to get rid of the wife, I would be living in a box under a bridge somewhere with my cobra! she has only worked for a law firm for 20+ years and they love her. Oh did I say they specialize in HIGH END DIVORCES!!!
what can I say, I may look at some coupes, I just don't like the tops on the roadsters.

Mike, I just might take you up on that, what time are you all getting up there nowadays, it is so darn hot.

thank you for all your support, Jim.

All of which goes to show you...if the wife wants you to sell your Cobra, post it on Club Cobra and leave it there..

If YOU want to sell your Cobra, post it on Cobra Country!

Wow...that's really a shame. Where's her spirit for fun? My wife pulls her hair back in a pony tail, puts on her Harley ball cap and sunglasses, and away we go! Although the car can scare the crap out of her....she loves it!

A while back she found one of those vintage rusty looking metal sign for the garage that says: "ACT OLD LATER".

Gotta love her attitude!

It's hard to find drive time. I tend to go out after my 6-year old goes to bed, or drive it to work on occasion. Wife isn't into it. Son likes it a little, but prefers the Tahoe SUV...

Go figure...

Sorry to hear that Jim. I love that car. If I didn't already have one, that would be a great choice for a speed junky. Put it on Cobra Country.

As a matter of fact, she does have a sister....married....and she pretty much has the same attitude....but maybe not quite as much of it!

Believe me, I know how lucky I am!

If you have a change of mind think hard top. I have had the soft top with air conditioner and it is worthless.

Hard top grows on you. No flopping top; stress on the windshield. I drive around with the top up; back window out; no side windows either. This keeps our Arizona heat / Sun off you and it is OK under 103/5. Much more than that and it is terrible regardless. I also moved the air vents to the knee area where most of the heat comes from. It made a huge difference. I have seen some with vents against wall between seat and trunk. That would make sense to so the air is hitting you on your neck where you want it.

Keeping the firewall insulated as best you can makes a big difference also.

My first car had a soft top and this one has a hard top.

If this woman forces you to sell your Cobra, where will it stop? First off, you will never be able to buy one again, nor will you be able to have anything SHE doesn't want you to have. Next will be football (or any other sport you might like). If she had any love or compassion for you, she would not ask you to sell it. In my opinion, the only justifiable reason to sell your car is financial hardship, or you're tired of it and want something else. I had two ex-wives that resented my cars and anything else that made me happy. They are history. My current lady loves my Cobra and the car hobby, and anything else that makes me happy. Sometimes it takes a while to get it right.
