Aunt Becky's for Breakfast.

For those of you not going to the Run for the Pines, who would be interested in a run to Punkin Center for breakfast. Aunt Becky’s makes some killer juevos con chili verde, not to mention great waffles and Swedish pancakes.

Always on the east side I see.

Danr55 09-22-2009 07:15 PM

THat's becuase the east side is the good side.. Besides, that's where Aunt Becky's is.. THat's where Tortilla Flats is.. That's where Pine is... That's where Payson is...

Later on we'll run up Yarnell and Laughlin and Wickenburg and other places on the west side. After it cools off some..

Scotchman 09-23-2009 09:27 AM

I'm in San Diego otherwise I'd love to try your aunt's cooking. Have a great ride !

mikiec 09-23-2009 10:03 AM

Dan,

East side is good. Gives us additional time in the car.

Dan,

Which Day (sat or sun) what time?

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 09-23-2009 12:02 PM

Dan, I am off Sat but work Sun, (as if that had any bearing on the outcome.) Could hook up at Shea/Beeline. 8am Sat? At standard Gas station/ quick stop?

AZ Bob

Danr55 09-23-2009 01:06 PM

Saturday 9/26 it is.. Robert, Saturday at the Chevron on Brown and Ellsworth for a 8:00 departure..

Bob, Can you hook up at Bush Hwy and Beeling about 8:15?

Or would everyone rather gather Saturday evening in downtown Mesa for the Cruise-in?

mikiec 09-23-2009 01:47 PM

If I did not have to work I would vote for The AM breakfast run.

Mike

Danr55 09-23-2009 02:59 PM

I guess I can do both. I'm a mature adult. I can make my own decisions..

Can't I? I think I can..

Fitz 09-23-2009 08:22 PM

I will check back and see what is happening this Friday night.

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 09-23-2009 11:32 PM

Dan, I am going to have to back out from your Mexican Breakfast Run Saturday. As you may have heard, I experienced an armed robbery of a large quantity of Oxy drugs last Friday. There has been so much going on at work I had to schedule interviews this Saturday with Company Psycologist, Company Insurance people, Loss Prevention and Glendale police photographer.

Work might not happen or I'll be done early. So, I might show but late. Where is this place? Is it on 188, or do I turn on old az 88 and go into Punkin ctr?

Damn Bob, I thought we raised you better than that.. Glad you weren't hurt. No worries. Seems everyone is going south this weekend.. Let's blame it all on Karl...

I've got water issues at home. Sounds like it's a bad deal all around. Let's postpone it until another day. I think I am replacing my anti syphon valve tomorrow. It's leaking pretty badly. So.. save the road time for the Coronado Trail run..

DWRAT 09-25-2009 03:51 PM

Dan,
Most anti siphon valves can be rebuilt pretty cheap and you don't need to re-plumb at all.
You can get a rebuild kit at Sprinkler World, you do need the numbers off the valve to get the correct kit.

Bob,
Sorry to hear you went through something like that.
I'm guessing your now packing at work also.

Danr55 09-25-2009 05:57 PM

DWRAT the rebuild kit is $49.00 the new valve is $52.00. Given the difficulty in removing and reinstalling, it was easier just to replace the entire assembly.

Danr55 09-26-2009 10:23 AM

Ok.. I got the valve changed and the crisis is over. I've also received a couple of calls about Punkin Center and why we didn't go today.. So, we shall go tomorrow. Anyone interested in going should be at the Chevron station at Brown and Ellsworth on Sunday, 9/27 at 7:00 or at the Beeline and Bush Hwy. intersection by 7:20. We'll pass through there and head to Aunt Beckys. Depending on the number that show, we'll either come back the short way or proceed on through Globe and home.
