Default Was Arntz the first Cobra replicar maker

Or merely the first successful one?
Or maybe the first who made the mass market ones with fiberglass bodies>>
(I qualify because Autokraft in the UK might have been making aluminum bodied ones at the time Arntz was making his, I can't remember the timeline. It seems like I first heard of Arntz around 1972?
What happened? Did he sell his business? Was there really a fatal accident that soured him on the biz?

Arntz was active in the early 70's. I have AUTOWEEKs with his "New front, mid-engine sports car" adverts. Autokraft (who was NOT a "replica" maker )was late 70's into the 80's whhen I became involved with them)

Several companies sold fiberglass "Cobra" bodies in the late 60's for repair or replacement of Cobras that had been bent.

Wally........ I know it it is new in the last twenty years or so, but try this sometime, it is called "GOOGLE"
