Default Finally done!

The new carrier with 3.73 gears, 11.5" vented rotors, and e-brake on the yoke is finally finished! It took a whopping 2 years, but all seems to work great.

Kind of hard to see some of the pics, but here goes:

Boy, does that look familiar! I did the same thing about 10 years ago with all the parts supplied by Kurt Hamilton.

One extra thing that I did was to run another hard line from each caliper to the frame above the left rear wheel. One end of each hard line screws into the caliper's bleed port hole. Then, I got remote bleed ports from Orme Brothers that connect to the other end of the hard lines and mounted them through a bracket above the frame. That way, I can do a one man brake bleed. I jack up the left side of the car, attach a clear plastic tube from the bleed port to a Harvey's Bristol Cream bottle with a little brake fluid in it. Then, I sit on the floor and bleed the brakes with one hand on the bleed wrench and one hand on a broomstick (the other end of the broomstick is duct taped to the brake pedal). The Jaguar bleed screws are very difficult to reach with the half shafts in place and while your laying under the car reaching up to loosen the fitting, the fluid always drips in your eye!

The calipers are from a 75 Jag I would guess. The rotors are from a Porsche and are .944" wide and 11.5" diameter. I made all the brackets and adapters. The e-brake set-up I made myself. I also put in a master cylinder for front and a separate one for the rears along with a clutch master from Wilwood. All the lines are SS

Rally...unfortunately, it is all together now. If for some reason I have to remove the axles, I will definitely implement your idea. My next thought though was just converting to outboard brakes. I have all the parts but was too far along on this to stop and change it all over.
