byroncobra 12-30-2009 09:28 PM

I reccon the local drifter louts would beat that record most nights down here in hoontown Ballina:eek:

Aussie Mike 12-30-2009 09:44 PM

I hate these pointless record attempts. They don't do the car hobby any good.

It's like having the record for putting 100 ferrets down your trousers. You may be a record holder but your still an idiot. %/

Sounds like a Friday or Saturday night at Macca's out here.

Eh eh, got a chuckle out of that mate. :)

How about 100 Cobra owners eating Donuts....we don't have to prove a thing.
I have done a burnout in an electric service vehicle parked against the door frame. Ha Ha Ha !

HAHAHA. That made my day Mike. Thanks.

I am right with Mike on this one. A new road near our house is now littered with the remains of radial tyres all over the place - rubber, metal webbing and just a terrible mess. It seems dumb and wrong.

a tv channel is filming it for tv.and yes your right, its not going to be a good reflection for the general motor head:JEKYLHYDE.and if anybody is interested i read that their trying for the longest burnout on a motorcycle as well.

Buzz 01-01-2010 06:18 PM

How's about a record for 100 Cobra owners griping all at once?

Burning rubber has always been part of the hi-po car hobby. I still break 'em loose every once in a while just to make sure the car is running right;). The novelty wears off as we get older, but we were all young once (well most of us, anyway:LOL:). 100 cars doing donuts is not something I would travel far to see, but it doesn't particularly offend me either. I just don't get it with all the pontification...

Rog246 01-01-2010 07:55 PM

Reckon I've seen the longest burnout by a motorbike.............saw the results of one hitting a petrol tanker when I was kid........burnout lasted about 4hrs.........LOL

"Pontification"? Were we being Papal?

Buzz 01-02-2010 02:12 AM

No, not really; but whenever the subject of burnouts, drifting, etc comes up, it seems to trigger a whole lot of "holier-than-thouism" which I find kinda funny on a forum dedicated to cars famous for being antisocial, underweight and overpowered.
Here's the man himself lining up for a shot at the record.

Rob. Smith 01-02-2010 02:40 AM

Had a kid at work that swore a burnout was the ultimate show of power. I parked the 24v electric service cart against the door post and proceeded to do a burnout. The kid stopped loudmouthing...ha ha ha.

You'd need that sorta vehicle if you were gonna stuff 100 ferrets down your trousers :p.

Merv and Sharon 01-02-2010 02:44 AM

Is that kit car compliant?? Really that ground clearance looks insufficient, the roll bar ridiculous, and does he have a full harness seat belt? And he is about to pontificate ...

Merv and Sharon 01-02-2010 02:50 AM
