That red one is very nice! There is also a blue one in the same pic, but not sure what happened to that.

Cobra builders in this country are heavily influenced by current emissions requirements and rigorous national design rules for 'new' cars. Also as you say, there seem to be few 289/slabside options here from manufacturers. I could be wrong of course ...

Originality - to the extent that it is possible - is an objective that is followed by some builders but there are fewer cars these days with a minimalist 'old school' look. Again I could be wrong .... Everyone who builds a Cobra, validly has their own dream of what it should be.

Do keep us posted on yours, as it looks different and very interesting and the Le Mans hardtop should also be of interest.

Did you get the Le Mans hard top for the Cobra? I see the correct boot/trunk arrangement. What is that other car (not the MGA)?

Ozgur_Tan 10-11-2010 02:37 AM

model and mould of hardtop is finished, and couple of products on floor
but I'm still playing with details of hardtop

solid red one is 1957 MGA Coupe
red/white one is 1949 Citroen Traction Avant

Amazing Ozgur. Fantastic attention to detail - and size - in those models.

Merv and Sharon 10-27-2010 11:38 PM

Ozgur - we are heading to Istanbul tomorrow - but straight through to Konya. Will be back in Istanbul next week and will be in contact!

I see here in Egypt that the Cobra is the symbol of royalty and the "third eye". Not sure if our RTA/VicRoads/inspection authorities have that capacity when they assess our cars for approval.

Ozgur_Tan 10-28-2010 06:11 AM

here; we've got Şahmeran. half woman, half snake

http://www.sihirlilamba.com/wp-conte...5/sahmeran.jpg

But, I'm 100% sure that şahmeran would not help me for approval

Maybe that lady would distract some of our inspection authorities! I wonder if Shelby had that in mind ... See you soon.
