Passed emissions
Did the emissions test at Penriff today and got through OK. Stage one complete I guess - hard stuff to come.
Cheers

Well done Andrew.
Now you need to do the rest of it so you can refit the side pipes before Nationals.
After all you need to be there to defend your title.

David,
Not sure if Ill get it all done before then the way things are ging, but you never know. Either way I will be there, probably on a permit only. I will fit the track pipes at Wakefield - I prefer the undercar exhaust on the road, and I want to do the right thing - not sure about defending any title though.
Cheers

Well done mate. Best of luck with the remaining hurdles.
Did you do much to the stock tune in order to pass? What about cats and other devices? Feel free to PM me. Oh and is that the IM240 that we now have to do in Vic?

Sambo - no special tricks at all. Everything pretty stock standard. Yes it is the IM240, and in NSW (currently) we need to meet 37/01 standards.
Cheers.

Hey Mando - yes the test is free for Chevs at least. If you have a smokey modern ford engine though they make you come back at least 6 times .
Daz, Still havent figured out engineer yet. Will start making few phone calls during the school hols.
Cheers

only smoke from the ford is produced from the treads not in the case of the chev 's fanbelt slipping
looks like i can get eastern creek for free to do brake test in about 3 weeks if your interested and get an engineer maybe use the track also
they make you come back at least 6 times .
and on the seventh day GOD created FORD
but mine passed EURO4 not ADR37/01

I booked my car in for the dreaded IM240 test on the 25th of July, fingers crossed! They charge $570 for the test and if you fail you have to pay again for another test. No wonder the engine tuner asked me to take the car back to him for a quick check before the test. I think he knew something I didn't.
Hi boxhead, thanks for the message. I've put 99% of everything back on the car and got the seats back from the upholsterer last night. I'll try and install the drivers seat this weekend. The carpet is the only thing not done which can happen after Rego so they don't get destroyed. I'll try and post some pictures over the weekend.
Regards.

Thats great news Andrew.
It's nice to hear someone has had some luck with the RTA as I've been following (lurking) Baz's rego post with interest for the last couple of weeks and wondering why I ever got into this project, or will ever get it on the road.
