Default tyres you might not have heard of

you guys might be interested in these if your looking for a new set of street/competition tyres. im looking at the nt555r in 325/15 for street/drag use, whereas most of you will be looking at the nt555r11 in bigger wheel sizes for track use. they are the widest radial tyre i can find for competition use that will give reasonable milage and wet weather performance, compared to mickey thompsons if you get caught out in the wet. not sure if they are available from tyre rack but summitracing sell them. tyre dealers i rang about a year ago australia wide have never heard of them. freight will be a bit of a killer but if anyones interested maybe a combined order will help. a tyre dealer here might be interested in bringing them in. take a look and let me know your thoughts, heres the link,http://www.nittotire.com

There is an agent in Alice for these tyres, I saw some on a rack a couple of days ago.

i doubt it, ive just sold our house, we are in the process of a massive move to airlie beach into our shed up there and then start building our dream home straight away, which will take me about a year, the only time im allowed off is 1 week in july to go to the townsville400 because im organizing the ford teams drivers parade for the nq chapter of the ccq, boy are the northern boys excited about that having never participated in anything like that, they are a bit starved of motorsport up this way and most cobras from mackay to cairns will be involved.

I have seen these in the Summit catalogue for some time and they look appealing for those of us with 15in wheels.

A few years back one of the members here had a blow-out with the nittos but otherwise I haven't heard much negative feedback, others have expressed satisfaction with them.

Wheel Size and Information

Would be interested in your eventual costs and assessment should you secure a set

Gee TC... Big Shed, cash in bank, Cobra.....when better to do a Nats run!!!!

In saying that I jest as I too am in the throes of house selling etc.... But the Nats trip is really fun so unless the world turns on its head (which it is atm) I'll be there with bells on!

Hi Tomcat
I am heading up for the Townsville 400 as well mainly to get away from this Canberra winter for a week. May be able to catch up for an ale or two.
Cheers
Brett

are you serious, how did you find them, what size were you running and do you use your car for any motorsport. im looking at the 325/50/15, 28ins tall for street/strip use. i cant find anything else in that size that compares, actually its hard to find anything in that size, so if anyone out there knows of something different, please chime in.
