I thought I'd post here instead of starting a whole new thread. What are people thoughts on this mother of an intake? The front of the MAF on my L98 is about 92mm diam so I'd need a reducer. Otherwise it looks like it would flow nicely - just worried about the induction noise.

Thats pretty close to the one on mine. Dont know if it is OK, as Ive not compared it to anything else. Don't think its too noisey, but it takes up a lot of room and I dont think Im sucking in too much "cold" air where it is.

Looks very tidy Andrew. Where'd you get that one?
The seller tells me its TIG welded alum. Modena - I'm just concerned about the noise test for engineering.

It was a flea bay jobbie, from the USA I think, not local. Was cheap and quality was just average but does the job. Think it was less then 100 bucks at the time delivered with filters. Couple of years ago now.

Cold Air
Tenrocca,
Mine passed with a single Pod Filter ( Victoria ).
The induction noise is a problem but not too bad with the bonnet down.
I have just upgraded the CAM AND LOST POWER AND TORQUE.
Seems like I might need a dual intake like teh Corvette ser up.....

No words can explain
Gav,
True, but on this occasion I am.......
Cannot find the reason why, not an air/exhaust issue.
An excuse for slow times at the Nationals ( instead of the usual thumping hangover )
