Default Ford engines in Cobras

Hi All,

Just wondering if any one has some pics of the footwells used for a 5.4L Ford (BA-BF-FG) engine. I am having trouble getting my head around how much (or little) space is between the engine and the chassis rail.

Nathan

I don't know what kit you have or if you are doing a scratch build of your own design. However I have a Kenmer with a 5.4 quaddie installed. If you like I will take some pics and try to post them for you

My kit is basically rails and a body, so I'm constructing the rest myself. Any ideas and photos would be great, as i'm trying to get my head around the 1300mm ish body and a 800mm engine.

Thanks

Nathan I hope this helps. You cannot see anything from above the engine. It is too much trouble to pull out the inner guards to take pics so I have some from during the build. The headers sit close to the block. You will notice a triangular section in the chasis just in front of the footboxes. This is where the exhaust exits to go either under the car or through the front guards

Looks good.. what is the dimension you are using for the width of the outer rails (that go under the doors)?? Mine is about 1300mm.
