Default Nationals!

It's that time again, only a handful of sleeps to go.
My chariot is mobile again, so preparations are nearly on track.
How is everyone else going?
Have you all sent your entry yet?
Entry closes in a weeks time

How sad is it that towing my cobra 10hrs to be flogged by pesky Qld'ers is a yearly highlight not to be missed!!

Good luck to all who go, I will be enjoying a gentle drive in the Cobra on Nationals weekend from Alice Springs to Innisfail.

Anyone know what day the show and shine and displays will be set up? Hopefully it will be nice weather and not walking around in the rain like last time.

Much to my dissapointment i dont think i will have my car ready for a couple more nationals yet

Your one-man Datsun-driving cheer squad will be there for a lap or 2 (depending on how long the first one takes)

If the purists at the Shelbyfest wouldn't let a Ford ute enter, what hope has a pile of jap crap got at the Nationals?
See you trackside, Andrew!

I am sure if you had of fitted a LS engine to your ute they would have let you enter Doc

Looking forward to catching up with everyone again, hopefully the sun god will make a show this year.

Default Nats

At last count there looks to be 40 Canetoads and 20 cars coming down from SUNNY QLD... We plan on bringing as much of it down with us as we can.....

The rainfall outlook is as follows....
"Over southern and eastern Australia the cold front events with potential to bring widespread rain are now expected about 8 September to 12 September, 19 September to 23 September, and 24 September to 28 September. Rain events originating in the tropics and moving south are possible about 6 September to 10 September, 19 September to 23 September, and 24 September to 28 September."

Could it be we have got the HOLE SHOT! Fingers and all the rest crossed!

Now I just need to get the car back together... 4 weeks and 5 days till the fun begins....

Really looking forward to the Nationals. I do not want to miss it and wait another year to have a few laps and a few beers.

How many coming up from Melbourne?

OK Lads, only three (3) days to go before the cut off date for entries
After this date there is no guarantee of receiving the entrants goodies bag, commemorative plaque and entrants T shirt,

Remember there is an opportunity also for entrants to purchase an additional t shirt.
So if you have been procrastinating now is the time to get your forms in.

Phil

There isnt much chatter about who is and isnt going, what is going on guys?

It is the major Cobra event of the year, get yourselves organised, Get your entries in and make it a great weekend.

Remember, if you dont support it, it may go away.

Qld would love the chance to take it over I reckon, dont give em that chance. Then you NSW, VIC and SA guys will complain it is too far away.

Trying to decide whether to pack race shoes or gumboots

Expected to have major engine mods done for this year but time got the better of any plans, So just there for the fun and sociallising with a bit of track time chucked in.

Looking forward to seeing the new Spook missile in action.

Cheers
BJ
