If you investigate the commodore scene, as Gregg says 3.7's are generally considered the "right" ratio for a T56 to provide the best balance between crusing and acceleration.
Even a heavy commodore with 3.9 results in excessive wheel spin, so a light Cobra will have no chance. 3.45 is to tall though first and second IMHO, 3.7 is the go.
