IM240 test.
I finally passed my IM240 test today. It's taken over 300kms on the dyno but thank god it's done. We were made to complete 3 runs and we had passes on all three. Needless to say I was very happy :D
It's of to do the brake and lane change test next and get the Engineer to sign of on the build. Shouldn't be to hard from now on! Regards.:D |
Congratulations Mando. Good luck with the rest of the testing.
|
Well done Mando, that is what I reckon is the hard part out of the way (unless you live in NSW).
Hope the rest goes smoothly and quickly for you. |
Very well done Mando.
Always good to get a segment of testing passed and out of the way. I'll have to organise to catch up when I'm again over and have a listen to your beastie. I might be there for a short period in a few weeks I'll stay in touch when I know. Cheers Steve |
Mando
congratulations, shouldn't be too long and you'll be flying through the Adelaide hills Doug |
Well done & congratulations...
If I recall, sbf 347? Did you get it through with the 8stacks? Best, anth |
Well done mate, now that's a hard won achievement.
|
That's great news Mando. Congratulations!
Cheers |
Mando,
Fantastic, cannot wait to see it finished. Phil |
Good to see another bloke close to crossing the line.
Helps keep the rest of us "not done yet" guys motivated. |
Thanks guys.
Dimis, yes it passed with the 8 throttlebody setup. Steve, give me call when your organized and I'll make some arrangements. Regards. |
Well one Mando.
Perseverence pays off! Ben |
Double Post

Fantastic news Mando. Lets follow this up with an ICV from NSW getting through.. No prizes for guessing who I'm barracking for.
Baz |
WOW!!!
Then there is a cobra god... and he was smiling on you... Well done! Well done indeed!! Cheers Anth |
Dimis, the part I conveniently left out was that my car spent,
==80kms for the first tune ==45kms to the testing facility and back to my home. (This was the only time my car has been on the road. When I started my build in 2002 I did a deal with a guy that owns a fleet of flat bed transporters to move my car everytime it needed, for a flat rate of $60 for each shift untill the car was 100% complete). ==590kms at the next tuner that turned out to be the owner of the only 5 gas analyzer in SA ==All up 715kms Regards. |
Mando,
That is Fantastic news. Bet you cant wait to see the rego sticker on the windscreen:) |
Will do Mando but I will definitely be buying dinner this time - you can choose food though.
Cheers |
Great news Mando. Do you have a specific emissions tune saved on file now? I'd love to see how the injector pulse width, ignition timing and lambda readings compare to a real-world tune...!
I've heard that Morrison are building their beautiful injection systems exclusively in New Zealand now. We can't let the Kiwis claim such a work of art! |
Craig, I have no idea what's on file in regards to the tune other than it was tuned to max out at 3000rpm's. If it helps I can give you the Tuners number if you want any specific info.
I didn't know Morrrisons are moving to NZ. It seems a bit unusual when you consider the crew he has working for him including a couple of family members all live in Melbourne. Regards. |
