Default Australian track/race cobras

A forum question.....there has been much talk post nats 2010 of guys thinking of building or buying dedicated track cars.. I noticed DRB had a flyer in our Nats bag of goodies looking for registration of interest for their DRAGON SNAKE TRACK Car.

So will there be more dedicated track cars at the Nats next year...There's a few for sale OzVenoms/FFR/Iian Pretty + the Green Robnell etc..

(And yes....I understand some people feel the Nats is not racing so please ignore this email if this reference to the nats takes offence. )

Mr. Harrison has a couple on the way....

One for himself and Tony Stark......

and One for a customer in a Southern State.

I might have to give the Red Racer a bit of "Attention" to try and keep up.

Cheers,
Warren

Default I must be a woman

As most of you know I purchased an unfinished Classic Revival rolling kit with plans to build it into a racer.

Well a lot has happened and I think I want to push my car as far as I can in the street registered classes on the circuit and the drag strip.

So I am going to build the car and offer it for sale, I have bought a new LS3 and T56 and it will run 15s Team 3 wheels. I have it booked in for paint with Contagious colour (Guy who Painted Beejays car) and will go with the traditional style, no skulls on this one.

I will probably register it in Vic but if NSW gets sorted I will register it here.

The plan is to have it done by June.

I will use my car for Cobra club stuff and at the drag strip, it is about time I installed the big diff and ran the 10 sec pass. I will buy a cheap race car for all the other events and for the younguns to have a go

Phil

Default Cobra race kit

I would not say i had the first dedicated race cobra out there but Ron Ford and i where the first to test the water at club racing level at all the various events .
Our Red Cobra which is 7 years old and been in in the hands of Warren Boylan for the past three has had a number of people thinking about one too . So it is great that now a number of these dedicated Cobras will start to appear .

We can go back to putting in big Ford motors , sidepipes , slicks on without any RTA looking over our shoulder .

Warwick.

Default Ouch

I reckon its great to see more dedicated track cars... As mentioned, looking over your shoulder for the RTA does take some of the fun out of street registered cars IMO. But each to their own and as long as everyone is having fun.

Remember, like the street these cars bite! Here's my sister car in the states looking....well.....modified.
