Local Robnell owner Russell had his 8.53 litre SC 429 featured in the local news. Nice car Russ!

I don't know of any others with an 8.35 litre ( 510 cu inc ) donk !!
That's a lot of cubes.....
Although Greg Hood wouldn't think so, with his 557 cu in monster.
Makes my "little" 427 look a bit small.

big block
Merv, I'm not sure exactly the cut off on what constitutes a BIG block but Robnell I've seen in Ozvenoms workshop has one in it...on straight gas!
Tuff! Very tuff!

I don't think there is a cut off size to make it a "big block".
My understanding was that it was "back in the day" when you had a choice of engine size on certain model V8 cars....
One engine being considerably smaller than the other....so they used the expressions of small block and big block as their choice of engine.
I could be wrong about this though....who cares...right ?

Makes my little (worked!) 5 litre small block seem puny ...
LPG in a big block? I suppose with all that torque/cubes it would go really well. Russ's car up here is a beauty.

How big are you?
The difference between a big and small block is just that, the blocks are different sizes.
Capacity has nothing to do with it.
The LS7 although it is a 427ci is a small block engine, however a big block can also have a 427 capacity.

I was very impressed with the fibreglass thickness and the general build quality. The car is gel coated yellow and has a brilliant finish.
