Hmmm............if I spent all that money doing a Mustang up I sure as hell wouldn't be putting a Chev in it then putting GT500 decals on the side of it ! 427 Fords aren't expensive and you can get alloy ones to boot. Besides there are too many boat anchors in the world anyway :eek: :CRY: :LOL::D

LS is too light to be used as a boat anchor.
You need good old Fraud cast iron for that. :)

I know the guy who built that car for Kochie.Leo from muscle car.It is a lot easy and cheaper to fit this engine than any modular Ford engine ,Ford has to offer.I couldn't do it myself.
It goes well

Leo is currently doing my 68 Fastback as I type, well not type as it's 7.00pm, but you know what I mean!!!. I'm putting some disc brakes on all 4 corners, some power steering and some suspension mods. I am also getting my seat lowered and some lap sash belts.

It already has the 390 FE motor in it and 4 speed top loader and it goes very nicely. :D, now I will have the brakes to stop it, and handling to throw it around a few corners. I am also going for the torque thrust wheels, mine had 14" on the front and 15" on the back, going to be 17" now.

I am also getting a tilt column steering as I get a bit sick and tired of always indicating to turn right when I change from 2-3.

Should be done in a few weeks. :D

R.S.S suspensions make a conversion that removes the spring towers from the engine bay and replaces the front end with better geometry and coil over struts.The Modular motor fits nicely

I wouldn't think putting a modular into a 67 mustang would be smart either. A chev or a modular both would do the same thing, reduce the value of the car.

TCP from the states also does a system. The TCP parts were used in the 2009 Gone in 60 Seconds, with Eleanor. I am getting the TCP ones put on the car, looked at RRS but went TCP instead.

Both good products with good and bad points.

Yes you could do that,but this car is supposed to be his daily driver.With modern drive train ,better fuel economy,and reliability

Yours is the car getting all the tcp gear,your lucky your car is registered.
Try and get TCP engineered.
Im going through that nightmare with my Eleanor.

You can buy brand new bodies now...mustang and camaro. They're chinese but HOT ROD Magazine checked them out and they're OK ! I doubt there'd be much value in the chinese repops.%/

If you build up a car using one of those bodies it will be then an ICV and you know what problems that leads to.

I'm not sure as every other part (suspension, door latches, steering, etc) bolts on as per factory....you could call it a replacement part....a 'BIG' replacement part as you are using all the original components. I don't know. In the USA they aren't recognised as a genuine Mustang / Camaro in insurance views.
